Ronaldo vs. Messi (2017)
PITY
When i decided to watched a documentary about these 2 football legends i expected to see a lot about football, statistics, graphs and interviews from team mates coach staff, opponents etc. We saw very few clips from Sir Alex and Henry but most of the time we saw football journalists. Also, the topics were far from football since they focused on their charity, their businnesses, their relationships and things like that. I expected to see some of their best goals, some records they broke, some important highlights and generally moments related to football. They tried to make more of a gossip documentary and let football aside.
Elling (2001)
Quite interesting
Not long ago, i started exploring the norwegian film industry and i came across Elling. Since there are a lot reviews about the plot, which i found very interesting, i want to write about Elling compared to the other 2 films (mother's Elling and Love me tommorow)
Elling (2001) started when the mother died and Elling was taken by police. Mother's Elling(2003) presents the last trip Elling took with his mother in Palma, where she died. Love me tommorow (2005) continues the story of the first movie where his friend is married and he is trying to fit in society and find love. The first and last film are quite close and should be seen one after another since the plot continues.
Personally, the film about the mother could be avoided since the first film described perfectly on the first few scenes the relationship Elling had with his mother. For me, these few scenes at the start of the first film were enough to present their bond and the creation of another whole movie about the mother was unnecessary.
Up (2009)
Masterpiece for all ages
Revisiting Up after years as an adult, makes you appreciate it much more. Despite the funny moments, the seperation of the couple makes you feel the pain of lonliness, which is something a kid cant fully understand. Up manages to present how hard is to cope with a loss of a loved one after many years of sharing everything. Also the fact that he is forced to move out of his own apartment shows the hard reality of how money rules the world and is more important than feelings. Generally this movie has something to give to all ages. Watching it a second time as an adult, mainly the beginning, is like watching another movie.
