Blown Away (1994)
Great Movie
This movie is one of my favorites. Jeff and Lloyd Bridges are excellent. Lloyd falls right into the roll and does an awesome performance. Jeff was strong as the hero with the mysterious past. But, i must say that Tommy Lee Jones gave one of his most memorable performances. He does a great job with his accent. Forest Whitaker also does an awesome job as the wannabe hero. Lastly is the music composition. I love movies with good music that fits the emotion of the scene. Theres nothing worse than a movie with music that doesnt flow with the movie. This is a must see.
Family Business (1989)
Decent
The performances in the movie are excellent. The movies plot however lacks the strength to keep it interesting. The heist was pathetic and the outcome was predictable. I felt nothing after viewing this movie. I didnt think twice about it. In all actuality I would avoid this movie. Rent 'HEAT' instead.
Shot Through the Heart (1998)
Excellent
Shot through the Heart is a movie about two best friends who end up on different sides of a war. This movie goes through the horror and sadness of war and how it can tear even the best of friends apart. The sniping scenes give you an adrenaline rush. The anticipation is brutal. And on top of it all is the great acting. You will not be disappointed.
Kimera (1997)
Terrible
I saw this with a friend and we were terribly disappointed when we saw this. The running time is an hour, felt like less though. The animation was decent. Its about a bunch of alien vampires that come to earth to perpetuate their species. Whatever you do, DO NOT get the dubbed version. If you're an avid anime fan, you know that sub is best. (not true for some, but for most). If your looking for the best interpretation than fan sub is the best way to go.
The Crow (1994)
Great movie
This movie has the best atmosphere out of any movie i have ever seen. It puts you right there with the characters. Stellar performance by Brandon Lee and unfortunatly his last. You'll enjoy the action and the consuming story line. Must see for those who insist on being intrigued.
Akira (1988)
Best Anime
My personal favorite. Akira is a land mark film. Its cell animation allows for an almost real look. The story takes place in post apocalyptic Tokyo. There is an uncontrollable power of destruction laying dormant in a frozen cell waiting to be released and several kids caught in the middle of the madness. A must see for anime lovers.
