This wasn't as bad as I assumed it was going to be. A lot of people hate on this series, so I really wasn't expecting much, but was slightly surprised by some of it.
A group of people lead by a wealthy man uncover a pyramid in the arctic, and end up uncovering a ancient hunting tradition the predators started to breed their ultimate big game "Xenomorphs".
The characters and dialogue left quite a lot to be desired. Other then the main character we get very little character work. We are pretty much given the quirk we would be seeing by each person present, and then just seeing them be that quirk throughout the very limited screen time they'd get.
The main character was actually one of the best parts of the movie. I like seeing her go from crazy safety lady, to badass Xenomorph killer. Watching her and the predator working together was also a really neat idea, and worked very well.
The effects for the gore were good, but the movie was rated PG-13 so we got a lot less human gore, and a lot more Alien and predator gore. The predator's seemed really bulky this movie, and their uniforms looked a bit cheaper. The armor didn't have that authentic look and feel, and I felt it looked more like a costume. The heat vision camera in this movie also looked a lot worse then usual, and I disliked that. I also despised that for some reason they didn't use predator's noises as much, and instead made him sound like a Lion. It was stupid, and I don't know how that got approved.
Overall, characters and dialogue weren't great, but the fighting between the Xenomorphs and predators was very entertaining. The best part of the movie is the last twenty minutes.
