The Best Times (1985)
Theme song
I remember watching this show and enjoying it (Hence, I was 14 at the time). A few of us junior high schoolers talked about it during lunch time. The storylines were somewhat "soap opera", trying to be relevant with "hip" kids sporting the latest fashions and doing what young teenagers did back in 1985. I did, however, enjoyed its opening theme. Graphics and sound, it was going for that "MTV" look (sorry but I didn't have MTV, only U 68!
One thing we discussed and no of us know: Who sang the tv theme song? I used to say Jernigan Jackson and someone else said Rockwell (Somebody's watching me). Another said it had to be one of the DeBarge boys.
Could someone end this decades old mystery?
Thanks!
The Red Hand Gang (1977)
Red Hand Gang!
God, How I loved this show as a kid! It was so cool but wasn't on very long. James Bond III was the most popular and I have seen him in other 70's shows as well. If you Brits love 70's kid shows may I recommend: "Infinity Factory" with it's disco theme song and titles teaching young people ages 10-14 the wonders of math! "Zoom" was hot too and I have a copy of the Best of Zoom from the 1970's! "High Feather" about some kids at a summer cap right before Reagan was elected president, "Vegatable Soup" with it's "soulful" approach to things in life (Loved the kids on skateboards traveling in time)! Wished children television shows were this fun again (and away with Ipods and cell phones!)
