When I found out Ciaran Hinds would be in this movie I went out and got the original "Escape to Witch Mountain"... I could not get through the whole movie.... I got so bored to the point of not caring what happened to Tia and Tony's parents etc. However this Movie or I should say Updated movie got my attention from the beginning. I really liked it.Yes there was a lot of violence but it was mild compared to what is shown on television....and there was no blood. Liked the humor in it and how the bad guys really make you want to hate them...like the "cyphrus" (I probably spelled that wrong) and Burke. Dwayne "the Rock" Johnson did a good job; but thought they could have found a different actor to do that part. I wonder if "Race to Witch Mountain" will become a ride/attraction at Disneyland or DisneyWorld... I can see it happening. Of all the movies that have beer remade or reimagined I thought this was pretty good...and maybe it will get a younger generation to want to see the original.
