Nora (2000)
interesting...disappointing
I bought this DVD, expecting the always fascinating work of Ewan Mcgregor. When I watched it, I was interested in the characters, wanting to know more. By the end of the film I was disappointed in the story line. They were together, then they weren't. He couldn't live with out her and all is happy again. It was two people that were the perfect couple but were absolutely horrible for each other. I did like the fact that it ended with a laugh, though.
Trainspotting (1996)
moving
I think that anyone who uses drugs should see this. It shows how low one would go to get a hit. I unquestionably recommend this movie. The acting is amazing and the humor is always there. A great film all the way around.
A Life Less Ordinary (1997)
Funny, Great acting, and out of the ordinary, what more could you ask for?
I thought that the movie was very funny. The fact that Robert was so "innocent" made the story unpredictable. I suppose you have to have an odd sort of sence of humor but the movie was good. The angel's were relentless, which was great...
Moulin Rouge! (2001)
a fairy-tale musical that takes you to another world.
Most people either love it or hate it. I usually am not a musical lover but when I saw this, I thought, "Baz Luhrmann has a wonderful imagination." At first I was reluctant to see this, even though my mom was wanting to see it, It was definitely not what I expected to see. A world blasted with color and excitement. I expected to se a sappy love story with absolutely no humor and it wasn't. It is a definite must-see!
