"You can put lipstick on a hog and call it Monique, but it is still a pig"!
15 March 2024
I am referring, of course, to how the very title of the movie is supposed to be taken in part from the ancient Greek tragedy, "Iphigenia in Aulis" by Euripides, and even mentioning "Iphigenia" here and there in the story. But these mere and occasional verbal references don't do anything to elevate the quality of the movie itself. The story was beyond silly, it was actually nonsensical. You couldn't honestly sympathize with *any* of the characters, not even the little boy! Everybody in the movie was just so darn selfish and even manipulative! IMDb describes the movie as being about a boy who turns "sinister" and we sure see a lot of sinisterness at play in the movie, but we are never told just *how* is the boy responsible for it! In short, it is a very poorly written and poorly crafted movie, no doubt one of the worst movies I have ever seen. :/

What a RIDICULOUS Movie!!!
17 October 2023
I can't believe a lawyer - and a Harvard graduate, no less! - wrote this story. It is so full of holes, ridiculous at best, utterly stupid at worst. Appellate judges setting bail?!! Not recusing themselves, even though they had once prosecuted the same defendant's case before?! Prosecutors acting like the police, investigating a case that even the police has not charged nor even found a reason to charge?! Making up a murder charge when there is absolutely no reason to even suspect any foul play?! The list just goes on and on. The whole plot is unbelievable, and the acting - especially by the.assistant prosecutor - is so bad. Talk about a complete waste of.an hour and a half... :(

To call this movie "boring" would be too kind...
29 September 2023
Let me point at the outset that the description of this movie is quite inaccurate. It says, "A dark psychological thriller which follows a couple who find themselves in a hit and run situation, with the evidence suggesting there was no accident." Well, the first part about the accident is quite true, but the second part - that there was no evidence to suggest there had been an accident - is completely false. In fact, it's no spoiler because, in the very beginning, they show the glasses with strands of hair clearly indicating someone had been hit. But maybe the writer is too focused on the car which indeed shows no signs of having hit anybody or even anything. But that's no doubt just poor direction, because the couple itself has no doubt that they had hit someone. Long story short, this is an *extremely* boring movie, with practically no sensible point to it.

Ridiculous/Very Bad
12 September 2023
I feel that the other reviewers might be reluctant to say anything really bad about the movie because the girl is autistic. While I certainly appreciate such kindness, especially in today's rather hostile environment, we must not forget that these user reviews are not for the actors/film makers (who, in all likelihood, never even look at our reviews), but for the benefit of our fellow-viewers who, after a long day or week of hard work, are just looking for something good to watch and in effect rely on our reviews to help them choose such a good movie. So, for the sake of such readers, I am going to be quite straightforward and honest: this is a REALLY bad movie, folks. To begin, I have heard (and even read some) about several types of autism and I feel quite certain that the particular kind depicted in this movie is a great product of the film-makers' *imagination*! But it's not just that depiction, the very description of the movie (no doubt proferred by the film-makers themselves) is grossly misleading. Specifically, no, my friends, Martha does NOT "use her unique abilites to catch the killer." Indeed, she is shown to have such unbelievable abilities, with the said.mathematical ability (the description calls her a "mathematical genius") being only one of them, but she doesn't really use any such ability. She merely remembers a couple of numbers. And again, no, SHE does NOT use even that little knowledge "to catch the killer"! Rather, it's just *Nicole* who tries to make sense out of Martha's, in effect, rambling speech and scribbles, to try to catch that killer. But then, that's not all either. In fact, the whole plot is quite ridiculous, no matter how you look at it! But I don't want to say much because giving any details might count as spoilers. Suffice it to say, this movie is *not* worth a buck and/or any amount of your precious time.

Most Morally Corrupt Movie I Have EVER SEEN! :(
2 September 2023
Let me start off by saying that the deaf actor who played the psychic did the best job. Having said that, I must say that this was quite a lousy movie. The plot was really poor. We are never told what is wrong with the boy anyway. Looking at the drawings he made though, it has to be a *character* defect, not any mental disability. Neither he nor his parents were likable in the least. I was especially appalled by the ending, and am shocked at the rave reviews by other viewers here. Doesn't anyone have any moral values anymore?!! All in all, I would *not* recommend this movie to anyone with even a scintilla of decency.
