Skinamarink (2022)
Sadly Disappointing
Simply put, I was truly scared and excited to finally get to watch this film. The preview was extremely scary and hinted at a truly horrific poltergeist-like tale. It had all the right elements, and had some heart dropping scenes, but overall never landed. The story never unfolded, just hinted at what was going on. The style of shooting and audio was outstanding, but it became too "artsy-fartsy" and unclear. It would've been nice to have more of a clear story and plot, especially the ending. I was expecting it to ramp up at the end and scare the life out of me. Instead, it left me scratching my head.
The Kacey Musgraves Christmas Show (2019)
The New "Cher"?
Dare I say, "The new Cher?" Don't hate me, but I saw a huge resemblance to Cher what with all the wardrobe choices and the long straightened black hair. The music obviously was not at all like Cher, but classic Kacey. I enjoyed the whole thing. The comedic scenes where great! I don't care how cheesy it was, it was great. The haters can move on already with the bad reviews. And Dan was hilarious!
Homecoming (2018)
From Podcast To Film
This is a success both visually and from a storytelling perspective. The series pays great respect to the overall story in the podcast, but they both have their own identity. The shots felt very fresh and visually creative. Thumbs up! I cannot wrap my head around the bad reviews I'm seeing. Did they even listen to the podcast prior to watching the show? I'm guessing no.
