Titans (2018)
No thanks
Action scenes are good and I like most of the characters, especially Dick Greyson, but too much profanity for me. And there's no need for it. Won't be watching.
Mad About You (1992)
Helen Hunt's plastic surgery, character are letdowns
Watching the reboot was like slipping back into a comfortable old pair of jeans you haven't worn in years. Loved that. Hated Jamie. I was reminded of how the character had changed over the course of the original series. She started off sweet, funny, neurotic and beautiful and by the finale was bitter, mean, angry and hard-edged. It seems even worse in the reboot. Then there's Helen Hunt's plastic surgery. Wow, just wow. She looks disfigured and alarmingly abnormal. I believe she had some work done during the original series as well, but she looks terrible now. Very distracting to the viewer. Had to keep telling myself to ignore it. I agree with another reviewer who asked why she couldn't simply age gracefully like everyone else.
The Kid Detective (2020)
A funny, entertaining mystery
Adam Brody is great. At the heart of the story is a murder mystery, with some very funny moments along the way. Much better than I expected.
Captain Marvel (2019)
Don't believe the bad reviews
Sorry, but there's no way this movie is worthy of a 1-star rating. That's a bunch of bull. A fun Marvel superhero flick that can stand on its own but also ties in with Avengers: Endgame and the rest of the MCU. It's great, and it's going to pull in a boatload of money.
I Can Only Imagine (2018)
Moving
Theater was packed. Tears were flowing all around. An amazing experience.
Justice League (2017)
Great superhero movie
Not sure what the negative reviewers are looking for in a superhero movie. When I go to a superhero flick, I'm not expecting an Academy Award-winning production. Justice League delivers great heroes, great action and lots of fun. Bravo to DC for giving us a heck of a ride. Can't wait for more.
American Pickers (2010)
Pretty good show
I used to enjoy this show a lot more but not as much since Danielle took on a bigger role. I love the interaction between Mike and Frank and the many characters they meet on the road. I have to assume that Danielle lobbied for a bigger role, and that change has taken something away from the show.
