Unstoppable (2010)
The film Unstoppable
It's not a bad Tony Scott film but I don't think it was the best of all best films. All of those Tony Scott movies nowadays are like commerial like mainstream films. Denzel Washington and the young dude from Star Trek, not a bad cast. It was okay. The movie is interesting in certain levels and the storyline is okay, it should be integrated into a scary film. I love scary movies in fact, I've been writing screenplays since I was a teenager and I'm planning to make my own films as well. But the film is okay I think Denzel and Chris Pine should team up together and do two more films together. The next one is a detective film and the other a drama.
Big Apple Martini (2005)
Big Apple Martini
I really liked this film produced by Palm Beach Film School, it is so funny in its own comic style. Leanne Smith did a good job on the film, can't tell for sure that's her first directing job/film. The actors are good in it. The camera angles and shots were well-shot, that's what I like about shooting lenses. The director of photography of Big Apple Martini Steven Devlin did a good job with the work. Leanne Smith should keep up the work and make more films. Again I like the cinematography in for the short film. It really had a unique film-making style. For example at the opening scene with the man's legs walking in the street and passes by a pair of woman's legs. And the main credits appear. I really enjoyed it and hopefully when I join the training program I can get a chance to make my first movie.
Spark (2005)
Spark
I saw the student film from the Palm Beach Film School website when I was surfing on the web to know more information about the small training program which I'm very excited about attending. And I liked it, Sarah Abbott who write, direct, produce and edited the film did a excellent job with the cinematography and the storytelling. I like it really can't complain. Watching those kind of short films makes you as normal person working a regular crappy job become a independent filmmaker and work your way up to the top and all. If I was her she should come back home and write a screenplay and direct her fourth indie-short. The actors in Spark would very good, not bad just descent. The director of photography (Tricia Johnson) of the film should re-team with Sarah Michelle Abbott and make that fourth film. What I notice about her film-making-style to her movies is she establish events in the movies that was fed-off her realistic experiences which I think is clever and real. Hopefully when get enroll into that film school in West Palm Beach, I hope to turn my scripts into the kind of short films I want to made in my own vision and that's what that school is all about. So overall enjoy watching her film and actually getting into story. I'm sure she will improve with her next-coming films.
