The Last of Us (2023)
The game's story was always overrated and this show confirms it
I'm pretty underwhelmed by almost every episode. Why was there an extra super long episode for side characters we don't hardly even know? I thought I was watching Brokeback Mountain. There was hardly any on-screen zombies shown at all the entire season run. There's no new ground covered at all either story-wise when it comes to the main characters. All of what we see is already shown during in-game cutscenes that you may as well just play the game.
They treat Ellie like a helpless 5 year old even though she can gun people down on her own. Not surprising since it takes place in America where they're all under the impression that teen girls can't do anything right on their own. 14 year old girls are perfectly fine on their own in other countries and you have to wonder what's America's problem and why they're so absurdly slow to catch on. It's all so very embarrassing for humanity. Screenwriters know nothing about real life. And the makeup artists seemed to be purposefully making Ellie look terrible.
Ana (2020)
"Men bad, women good" narrative needs to stop
I don't know what it is about Americans but they're constantly living in fear of "bad men everywhere". I don't know how the writer grew up thinking every man in the world is bad and out to get her. It must be those evil pesky 40 year old men who are constantly out to get young girls that are ruining the entire world. I'm sure women did nothing wrong in their lives. Women of course are perfect divine angels who never do anything on the internet all on their own and everything is a man's fault. We've been getting fed the line that there's only bad men on the internet ever since it was invented and there's only bad photographers in Hollywood. I'm also sick of hearing teenagers getting called children like they're 5 years old and know nothing about the world. Americans need to grow up already and stop acting like completely clueless idiots about what their daughters are actually doing.
Cubs (2016)
Things happen that you do not expect in life, every day
It at first has the appearance of a light-hearted and more innocent atmosphere, almost like it's masquerading as a family movie. It suddenly turns very dark unexpectedly. Movies have yet to do this properly except on rare occasions. Imagine what it feels like watching a G-rated Disney movie or tv show and then suddenly someone gets shot in the back lying in a pool of their own blood. Such direction is extremely rare. Only a director who knows both sides of the world would know how to do it right. Most movies are very predictable. You can usually tell if most movies are dark or happy right in the opening. This short is very unique. The one girl also looks exactly like Sasha Pieterse's double still to this day. I was watching hundreds of shorts for a few weeks straight and this one easily stuck out.
The Walking Dead: Rest in Peace (2022)
Stuff and things The Walking Dead finale accomplished
Politically correct seasons that do away with all the annoying thoughts real people have
Negan literally staring at the audience for no reason. Why was there no laugh track?
Judith and Negan carrying the show all on their own because everyone else is a cardboard cutout that makes me feel nothing, let alone tearing up.
Humorless liberals writing a humorless republican show that used to have soul.
I'm sure Judith planted all those miles of lavender fields all on her own because she's the future and wouldn't be in school or learning a trade.
Darryl has universal blood and Judith can survive losing numerous pints of blood.
The traitors Darryl, Judith, and Mercer suddenly convince the other stormtroopers to listen to them and not Pamela the politically correct queen.
No relationships with an age difference, because that would never happen in an apocalypse.
No Asians in Commonwealth because Asians haven't survived the apocalypse a decade later for some reason.
Rick not being a helicopter parent to Judith, an amazing accomplishment during an apocalypse.
Comic book Lydia turned into a loser, because Muricuns can't accept the reality of teenage girls being horny.
As if comic book Lydia would actually care about that idiot she's suddenly dating.
Still can't tell if Eugene and Rosita are flirting or just being idiots.
Overweight men can easily climb up amazingly sturdy pipes on buildings during an emergency.
Main characters like Rosita can escape any situation as long as they're strapped to a baby.
The Neon Demon (2016)
It's a decent but not great David Lynch style movie
This is the kind of typical David Lynch wannabe nonsense Hollywood makes every now and then that I've seen a dozen times and never impresses me. Obviously the only good thing about the movie is Elle Fanning. UI wouldn't even have watched otherwise. She's always been close to being in a decent movie, but I never enjoyed her movies that much. Funniest part is Keanu starts raving about muh age difference morality, like every typical Hollywood written schlock. Like age differences are a disease you contract in a relationship, Hollywood just has to put it in for their imaginary morality quota while everyone else gets killed in all their other movies. If Keanu was so concerned about Elle Fanning, maybe he would have called some runaway authorities instead of whining and moaning all day about other stuff.
In the end, all I was really left wondering was if models really do get that hungry during their shoots. I guess they never heard of hired catering.
Superman & Lois: 30 Days and 30 Nights (2022)
The worst episode of Superman so far
Straight out of Smallville with actors in their 20s doing cringey teen angst scenes that go on endlessly. I've officially had it with the garbage subplots on this show. I can't believer any comic fan is enjoying this at all. I couldn't care less about Superman's dopey sons who want to be the next Superboy.
Pasanga 2 (2015)
There's a million disorders designed to make money
Humanity is absurdly gullible. The original ADHD doctor said on his deathbed he made up disorders to make money on healthy children. They're pushing drugs on everyone to make money with deadly drugs that only end up ruining lives. They're completely unsafe and hiding the dangers of psychiatric drugs because they're rich corporations. Thousands of people online have complained of the mental torture these drugs caused them, especially the ones started on drugs when they were young.
The Langoliers (1995)
A unique view on society
Normally we'd never be friends with random people on a plane, but these 10 were forced into it and ended up showing we can actually become just as attached to each other given an extreme situation. Good leads to evil, evil leads to good. It's very hard for people to understand how the two are related and need each other. Toomy was considered evil by everyone except the girl he murdered. She understood he had been abused by his father verbally his entire childhood. In the end, the movie shows we can bond with anybody in the right circumstances and even understand and forgive why they would want to murder us.
I think the way this story broke down societal boundaries was more important than the sci-fi element, and the touching and emotional element was the main thing all along. People can fall in love all of a sudden in such a situation and cut through all the BS humans deal with from day to day. The Langoliers is a sci-fi story about literally getting stuck in the past by about 15 minutes. Human beings waste so much time not enjoying life the way they really want to, and these passengers were stuck in the past and finally got their wish to enjoy the moment. This movie is about love and the ability to bond being right in front of you and all you have to do is grab it (but you never do it the easy way in real life do you?), and it's also about everyone having a purpose to serve, even the abused Toomy who couldn't stand reality anymore.

By the way, the guy who played the Captain slso starred in Dancer In the Dark and 12 Monkeys, two other really great emotional movies.
Strange Days on Planet Earth (2005)
A documentary that doesn't cause comatose states
I just saw the first 2 parts of this show, and it's the least boring doc I've ever seen. It has important info everyone in the world should know about, and everyone should do their part to help with the problems this show points out are going on in the world. I never thought I'd say it, but this documentary doesn't suck. Really though, I think time will show George Bush is responsible for all of these disasters anyway, but the show has no mention of him. I'd recommend showing this in schools all across America and English-speaking countries- but if the DVDs have other languages, that would help too.
And also, it has Edward Norton (who played the violent schizophrenic guy in Fight Club) hosting !
A Clockwork Orange (1971)
Most OVERRATED Movie of ALL-TIME
A Clockwork Orange was done in really poor taste. I was looking forward to this, everyone was raving about it. The worst thing about it is that you remember certain bits of awfulness for ages and ages afterwards. The movie has nothing (I really mean it). Every thing about the movie is slow. It simply suck. One of the worst pointless movies I have ever seen. I fail to see why this movie seems to be regarded as fresh and groundbreaking. I must be honest and tell that I had a hard time just staying awake, thanks to dull characters and dark photography. The final 20min though do get better with a little suspense but by this time do we really care about what happens in the end? There are no fitting words to aptly describe how truly horrendous this crap was. I saw a commercial advertising this movie--- and that's when the laughter started. Just the commercial alone was enough to make me almost pee my pants laughing. This movie is so empty and vacuous it's hard even to comment. 90% of this film consists of people standing around talking, a lot of it shot outdoors in such darkness that you can't see much of anything. I was recommended this film by a friend who went on to tell me how "brilliant" and "fantastic" it was. Yeah, right. This is one of the worst adaptations of a book to ever be seen on film. I find it ironic that a film considered by some as 'stylish' is devoid of suspense, or any kind of visual flair... The directorial style seems to be simply point the camera and shoot. If you care one iota about plot, consistent and or logical character motivation, and pacing, avoid this never-ending series of outrageous vignettes masquerading as a movie. The idea of the movie is not bad in fact, but extremely bad acting and just simply horrible realization overcomes any possible good. I was desperate to watch a movie that day ... I didn't have anything else to watch ... but I preferred to stop in the middle and go stare at the wall. I about fell over laughing while reading the previous review!! Clearly a family member of the director, a cast member or the director himself wrote that overly detailed ALL HYPE review! In short-- DON'T WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON PIECE OF CRAP MOVIES LIKE THIS ONE! DON'T be fooled by the HYPE MACHINE reviews!!!
Fainaru fantajî X (2001)
Wicked..
FFX is one of the best games for the PS2. It's a nice change of pace from the older games in the series. I haven't played anything but FFVII and the old FFII so I miss the materia system and all, but I really enjoyed this game. The voice acting is great and gets you into the game. If you're a fan of well made games, get FFX. If you're unimaginative, stay clear. Later!
