The Wrestler (2008)

A truly amazing film

As an avid movie watcher, I have seen a great deal of crap and/or awesomeness in my time. It is rare that a gem such as this one pops up in my life and I've got to say that I absolutely loved this movie. The cinematography was perfect, the acting was perfect...in fact, there was not one flaw that I can think of. This film digs right into the heart and sole of the character so deeply that you could swear you know him.

If you're the type who likes to see a movie that feels real and genuine, this is just what you need. There is not one scene that will leave you displeased. Sad, emotional...yes. But definitely not displeased. I don't want to spoil the movie so I won't dive into too many details. But I will say one last thing just to take up some more space.

This movie is freaking super bad-ass! See it!

Meet Dave is an unexpected treat

When I saw the previews for this movie I thought that it looked lame and didn't care to see it. But then I decided it couldn't hurt to check it out. And luckily, to my surprise, I was actually amused and entertained by it. Sure, some of the jokes are typical and predictable, but the overall feel of the movie was very consistent and provided me with plenty of good laughs. And while the storyline lacked depth, it was still quite creative and well accomplished. So if you want to see a good family movie with the kids or just to give yourself some laughs, this movie is a really good pick. Just watch it to be entertained rather than for a strong story or else you will likely be disappointed.
