Black Mirror: Bandersnatch (2018)
One time watch
I was actually really hyped but as the story progressed it became really boring. When the therapist said in one of the loops "if people are watching shouldn't it be more interesting?" And I agreed with that. The idea is great but the story is just very boring. Some of the options are very unnecessary and the whole reason why the character hates his dad is actually extremely dumb. I watched it and I forced myself through the loops but I will not watch it again nor recommend it. I'm not gonna praise a movie because it is groundbreaking with options. I'm gonna praise a movie for telling an interesting story. Also, this is one of the few times I feel like there was a major miscast. The actors could not keep it interesting. And also, every time I chose an option the movie would lag a little bit and then decrease rapidly in quality for a few minutes. I would love for them to try again with a cool story.
Black Mirror: White Bear (2013)
Good story
It was a good story and a cool twist but I was so annoyed by the protagonist crying and screaming throughout the entire episode, it completely ruined it for me and almost made it unwatchable. I get that she is scared and confused by every scene contained it.
The Peanut Butter Falcon (2019)
Heartwarming and eye opening!
This movie opened my eyes a GREAT deal with people with Downs. I would definitely treat a disabled person like the character of Dakota Johnson and it was so great to highlight the fact that disabled people are just only a little less capable than the rest of us. The cast was AMAZING!! I especially love LeBouf's performance he is an Oscarworthy actor with a bad rep. I was unsure of Dakota because of the Fifty Shades franchise but she completely knocked it out of the park. As did Zack and the rest of the cast. I do not rate this movie 9/10 because it is about a disabled person, it is a 9/10 because it tells a beautiful heartwarming story of family, loss and finding yourself along with excellent acting, directing, costumes etc etc.! VERY MUCH worth a watch in my opinions. It does have some flaws but not enough to lose more than one star. Great job. I would love a sequel just because the cast had amazing chemistry and I would watch any movie with them anytime. Very good quality movie!
Black Mirror: Shut Up and Dance (2016)
Exciting with a strong message
This episode had me on my edge and the directing and acting was absolutely INCREDIBLE! It sent a strong message in the end and was very insightful. One of my favorites so far.
Rogue (2020)
Boring and terrible
I actually paid money to watch this movie because I was curious to see the acting range of Megan Fox, and though I'm a Fox fan this is just not a movie for her. Or anyone. It's like if they made Sharknado but actually tried to make it intense and dramatic and not a joke. This movie is a complete joke. Megan Fox does not convince anyone as a battlehardened military boss leader, she was horribly miscast. But Fox is not only to blame, she was still the best thing of this movie. The dialog, cinematrography, acting and CGI is absolutely terrible! I'm sure this must be a School project. The story is so ridiculous and I am not invested in any of the characters and I wish it would just end but I kept suffering through this terrible "movie" because I paid for it. Do NOT bother even though it has sexy Megan Fox in it who clearly is not at all what she used to be. All that plastic in her face makes her look like the director could cast any Instagram "model" because they all look the same. What a shame.
Derry Girls (2018)
Extremely funny and clever!
The pacing is fast, the dialog is great and the chemistry between the cast is absolutely amazing! From the very first episode you get a clear feeling of who the diferent characters are and the comedy is just Gold! Not just something for teens, everyone can enjoy it. You dont even have to be Irish. I'm danish and I had to Google what all the fighting was even about, but the War is only secondary and they use the hate towards the British boy brilliantly (although I feel bad for him but they do the character well justice). I can very much recommend this show. I have watched it several times and I am very excited for season 3!
Friends: The One with the Apothecary Table (2000)
Good riddance of Elle Macpherson
I think it's so nice to see Joey fall in love I just wish it was with a likable character and a good comedic actress. Janine/Elle is neither. This storyline is not funny because of extreme lack of chemistry and the fact that Elle Macpherson could not hit a comedic timing to save her life. I wish they would explore more of these sides to Joey and develop his character but he didn't care at all when he dumped her, which also makes this romantic storyline fall flat.
I liked the Pottery Barn storyline, GREAT acting as always! However I think it is sad that Phoebe falls for PB and just does not care about everything that is wrong with the world because she really likes the looks of the furniture. It doesn't Seem like the writers made her stick to her character in order to get some laughs.
It's a 4/10 for me.
From Dusk Till Dawn (1996)
Mediocre, fairly okay... until...
Well the movie is Quentin's first writing job (according to Trivia) and it definitely feels like a young and still-learning Tarantino. The movie starts out pretty good, exaggerated as you would expect but nonetheless the first half of the narrative just does not fit the second.
This movie is not about two brothers trying to cross the border with a kidnapped family. It is all of a sudden af vampire movie. A pointless narrative that has nothing to do with the first part of the story, the characters development feels forced and idiotic. Honestly, I have watched this movie quite a few times but my interest completely goes to 0% when Salma Hayek turns into that awful made CGI vampire. I dob't care how this movie ends. I am not lying when I say I've seen this 3-4 times and never watched it to the end. If you have the strenght, congratulations. I'm gonna watch Resevoir Dogs instead. And just because you are a Tarantino fan does not mean you should blindly love everything he does.
Friends: The One with the Girl Who Hits Joey (1999)
A weak episode
The overall plotline with Ross and his neighbours does not only feel flat but it sets Phoebe in a terrible light. Phoebe is usually a good friend but in this episode, she is absolutely terrible and the worst friend to Ross. She sides with the neighbours and "chips in" just to make the story somewhat funny and make Ross look like a complete loser. It kind of makes me hate her a little bit. Just to get to stay in the party she "talks" to people to make Ross look good but Phoebe is a person I would throw right in front of a car in this episode. And the fact that Joey can't stand up for himself for that very boring and unfunny storyline with that girl.... it's just... meh whatever this season is just terrible
Downsizing (2017)
Waste of time
This movie loses all sense after 30 minutes and has almost nothing to do with the fun fact that they're small but is about..... global warning (sigh) it's not funny, the love between the protagonists is forced with no chemistry and the accents of the Scandinavian people is an insult to Scandinavia.
Game of Thrones: The Iron Throne (2019)
It could have been so much more
It is a shame that the best show on television came to this. Season 7 was bad enough and we've waited two years for six episodes of pure garbage. The writers should be ashamed. The production and acting is incredible. I have never watched an episode in which I actually just waited for it to end. I did with this one.
