13 Reasons Why (2017–2020)

People are completely missing the point
1 August 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Seriously people need to stop. All these reviews telling everyone how bad this show is, and how it's unrealist. It's a tv show for goodness sake, what did you think it was going to be? Beyond that, did you know it was a book first?

I don't understand this narrative that Hannah isn't likable or relatable. Obviously there was so much she missed, but don't we all? Don't we all miss the little things, the things that make us see the situation from the other side? I think people forget hindsight is 20/20. Looking back, sure she could have done a lot different, seen that people cared and she ran them off. When your living in it, you miss it all.

Ok so I got that out of the way. This show while is very dangerous for people with doubts to watch, it does make you think. I could relate to Clay. He was a believable shy guy that never knew what to say to Hannah. I was that same kid. They did a good job of making you believe that. One of my favorite scenes was at the dance. He was pushed to finally ask her to dance, and they just went crazy for a few minutes. It was great! It makes you feel actual joy for them. Only if it's for a second.

I say all of this to say that season 2 missed. I think the writers completely changed the story, and missed. The Hannah Baker they made for season 2 wasn't the Hannah Baker from season 1. Since the book never went beyond season 1, the writers decided to make their own story. They missed in an effort to make drama and I think it was a terrible decision. They kind of brought it back together at the end, but just added a bit too much. Hopefully season 3 will redeem it, but I doubt it. Season 1 was all that was needed.

Is this one the best one yet?
3 April 2009
This was a good movie. They were able to bring back all the things that made the first one great like Vin Diesel, Jordana Brewster, and Paul Walker, and let go of the things that did not work so well. All the things that you loved in the first one are here and a little more. Vin Diesel does a great job from start to finish. In parts of the movie it almost makes you want to leave your seat and cheer. For all you Paul Walker haters out there he did a good job as well. He is like a backup quarterback in the NFL you want him to manage the game don't try to do to much just do what is takes to win. Walker is not the star of the movie, but behind the star he manages his part well. He does a good job of playing his part and not going beyond that and try to make a great performance. Walker acts within his ability. I for one am not a Walker hater so I never felt like he did a bad job, but I know there are a lot of you out there and you will be happy with his performance in this movie. Just the right blind of action and cars. For all the people that loved Han from Tokyo Drift don't get really excited, his role is only for about 3 minutes at the beginning of the movie. This is not a movie that is going to win any Academy Awards, but it is a movie that will keep you entertain for an hour and forty five minutes. Worth the movie to pay to see this one in the theater. Which is saying a lot for the way the economy is right now. It is the best one in the series.

Great Movie One of the best
19 March 2009
This movie was great. I just had the chance to watch it for the first time, and it meet everything that anyone had said about it. Leonardo DiCaprio is great in this film. This is I think his best film or right up there with Blood Diamond. I don't want to hear from any of the DiCaprio brasher you know nothing. If you were like me and made you opinion based on Titanic then you should say nothing until you see this and Blood diamond. Everyone in this film did great. None of the big names tried to out do another. The only complaint in the acting is Matt Damon. I have never been a big fan at all, but he did pretty good in this one he just did not do as well as some of the others. He just does not seemed to be believable as a bad guy. That was my only problem with the movie. Jack Nicholson was at his best. Great film better than what people can even tell you.

Just another Political Movie
12 March 2009
What a waste of an hour and a half, there was really no reason for this film. It just a movie by Thomas McCarthy were he wanted to get his political view out with a film. There was no reason for this movie. I know that the system for immigration is not perfect in America, but come. Don't put a movie out there that does nothing for anyone. At the beginning of the movie you think The Visitor has a lot of potential, but you leave feeling like you wish that you had that hour and a half back. I do not care at all about what McCarthy's political views are so keep them to yourself and don't waste my time. Don't wast your time either.

Not good at all
27 February 2009
Warning: Spoilers
The acting in this film was sub par at best other then Morgan Freeman and John Casack. Really this film should have be much better. I watched this on the instant thing on Netflix and it was not worth it at all. I saw the R rating and saw it was for violence, so I figured it would be pretty blood and enough actions to keep the movie going. Not at all, the only really violence thing was when some guy gets hit and run over by a car. This movie could have been rated PG13 and would have been much closer. It a wast of an hour and a half. PLEASE DON'T WAST YOUR TIME! There is nothing in this movie that would make it worth a watch. It takes a lot to make a bad movie when Morgan Freeman and John Casack are in a movie together. The best part of the movie was when the government lady gets coffee spilled on her. The only reason I say that is because she can not act at all. If it took up way too much of the budget to get Freeman and Casack then put one of them and get a better cast. The ending of the movie is really bad as well.
