Goodbye Charlie Bright (2001)
Emotional with some funny dialogue
I saw this film a couple of years ago and didn't think much of it, I had seen the football factory before hand, and saw that a few of the actors were in this and I would give it a watch.
The film it's self builds up to a good ending and during the film you get to understand the characters and how they have grown in to the young men you see.
I don't think much of Roland as an actor or Paul Nicholls but both give really good performance and i almost forget that Nicholls is from Bolton.
Some of the dialogue is this film is fantastic and really funny especially with the character called Hector/Hecky.
If you want to watch a film thats easy to watch and funny with a good ending why not rent it out.
No Retreat No Surrender (1985)
Worth a watch for any Van Damme fan!
This is a much watch for any Van Damme fan, His first major production, and if you can get past the 80's cheese. The acting is some what amateur but thats what i like about some of the 80's films that haven't been labelled as "classics of our time?!?!". It was released two years after the first Karate Kid and spawned a few sequels which have no relevance to this film. The acting might not be as good as the Karate Kid but all of the fighting scenes are much better. In conclusion If you have some pals round and you have had a few drinks then stick this film on sit back and have a good laugh and remember how good the eighties used to be.
