Flashpoint (2008)
Keep it real.
This is a nice show, you guys have nailed the story lines and its worth watching. This drama has an appeal to both the soft and emotional side as well as something for the adrenalin junkies. However, CBS Please hire a better technical adviser. The tactical response, the outfit of the weapons, fire tactics, the way the SRU guys move and hold their weapons, its appalling. If you want a realistic drama, keep the tactical side realistic too. I know you think that the average person doesn't know the difference, but with other shows and movies getting more accurate and realistic. Flashpoint looks like a joke. Sooner or later you will loose your audience. Keep it real!
Fireproof (2008)
Great Movie!
It's interesting that whenever a so called "Christian movie" is released the critics and liberals never have anything good to say about the themes (technical reviews aside). Liberal media and Hollywood are constantly imposing their beliefs in subtle and sometime less subtle ways. Themes such as fornication, adultery, murder, blasphemy, homosexuality, witchcraft, are constantly on the screen (big and small) and we are brainwashed to think its normal and OK; yet when someone decided to make a movie about something positive on a faith based theme, it stirs criticism. Fireproof is the third movie by a production company that was never given a chance, and this 3rd attempt is even better that the first two.
As for those that think that God shouldn't be in the theaters than I guess you haven't read your Bible. Jesus chose to hang out with sinners because they are who he came for. What better venue for a faith based movie? Faith based movies may not have the technical and theatrical sophistication of mainstream Hollywood, but as long as we keep supporting them they will get better.
Fireproof is a great movie and the theme, Christian or not is refreshing; especially for a nation that has a 50%+ divorce rate and clearly needs help.
