The Heat (2013)
10 minutes - then I left.
We came to the theatre expecting a light, charming action-comedy. Ten minutes into the movie, it became unbearable to the point that we had to leave. I wish I could get my money back.
Right from the start, the humour was lame and since it did not improve in ten minutes, we felt that it was not going to.
This movie is beyond not funny. Insisting on a gag after gag and all of it forced and fake. Characters are exaggerated, the whole setup is just wrong and the comedy styles are all mixed up. Unsuccessfully. It seems like movie made by the executives, dead set on making money and not by anybody creative. Just horribly bad. Avoid at all costs.
Order of Chaos (2010)
Vince Vieluf - self absorbed without a concept.
There are no spoilers in this review because even if I wanted to, I wouldn't be able to spoil this home video more than it already is. The real challenge is deciding which was worse: the mediocre script (at best), irritating sound and editing (not supporting the story), home- production level image quality or the (lack of) overall direction. I rented "Order of Chaos" based solely on Milo Ventimiglia's name. My gamble didn't pay off and it makes me wonder what made him (Mr. Ventimiglia) decide to take part in a project like this. He is the only decent part of this video, though. What a waste of 90 minutes and 5 dollars. TP
