Talaash: The Answer Lies Within (2012)

You got to say that when you watch talaash you will feel something is really missing in the film, a thriller, a crime films always needs one especially when its of an investigation genre. The creators of the movie missed that trick here, don't know whether it was done intentionally.

An accident which took place in some beach hangout spot in the very early hours of morning, killing a favorite actor of the Indian film industry. Inspector Shekhawat( Aamir) takes up the investigation, who is also suffering from insomnia due to the loss of his son in an accident. The accident scene in which the actor was done makes the movie rolling after the titles. Awesomely picturized by Mohanan the DOP of the movie, who also had the headache of creating almost seventy percent of the movie in the dark, which he did rather magnificently. Along side the Talaash of the killer, Shekhawat also want to keep a good relation with his wife Rani who is suffering mentally for the same loss. Then comes Kareena Kapoor who tries to help Shekhawat in his talaash of the killer has done a good job, does appear in the whole movie as Aamir Khan's aide.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui an aide to one of the suspect Shashi plays wells though his journey ends rather quickly. A part from Aamir and Kareena many have been sidelined into small shells. Aamir khan tried to bring his authority of the main lead as cracking some potential jokes during the interrogation and on one rude scene which he saves shashi's girl in love.

Story and screen play by the director Reema and Zoya Aktar made the film in a way that no missing links comes from here and there, which they successfully succeeded, still misses that feeling that needed to suck the audience into the movie. Farhan Aktar who wrote the dialogues with some assistance from Anurag Kashyup well and truly fabulously.

Ram Sampath's music was not that applauding have done neatly...

Movie will not create a fuss as compared to the recent flicks of Aamir. Its a movie that you can surely watch without a doubt. It brought some good making into Indian cinema.

Jab Tak Hai Jaan (2012)

You can easily ignore this .......

Cant say it was a torture to sit through such stupidly written 'melo-drama' staring Shar Rukh Khan Katrina and Anushka, still it was pain in the ass. Movie Jab Tak Hai Jaan opens with tribute to Yash Ji, who made Hindi movie flourished with awesome love stories.

The plot is nothing new Katrina and Shahrukh fell for each other in London and the promise she gave to some Jesus takes the effect and the male lead meet with accident and she decides to forget the male if the very same Jesus protects him, in split sec it happens and they split. Then he returns to India, joins Indian Army as bomb diffusing, happens to meet anshka, acquaintance, leads to friendship, then back to London... then the usual ....

The romantic plot throws nothing new and chemistry between both leads did not had that punch that had to offer. The drama pe drama situation of the Hindi films takes effect from there on, till they split Then the male leads takes on the God him self and b4 he joins the Army. In such poorly executed scenes main thing which Hung's us along is the Director. The script which had nothing new to offer and too badly written apart from few scenes, when Rishi Kapoor says to Katrina, the Paki room mate of SRK, AR Rahman's music was boring and only thing which stood in tact was the Photography. Anil Mehta done a magnificent job. The Director's contribution was huge when he had to direct the worst script to a descent movie. Veer Zara was a much better movie than this, though was bombed at the box- office.

Each and every one rated this movie as if Jash Chopra's death wish movie and for that reason only it still have got a descent run at the box office. Nearing 100cr in Indian Market.

Skyfall (2012)

Sky Fall : This time its something personal abt M

Sam Mendes who delivered some magnificent movies like American Beauty, of course it won the Oscar, and the likes of Road to Perdition was given the task of making the Bond franchise some upliftment after the Quantum of Solace you got to expect the movie is not that the Bond movie you were expecting.

Starting of at Istambul on a mission to get the contents of stolen details of MI6 operatives working in various terror organizations Mr. Bond along with his working field agent chink makes the well worked out start off stunt, bikes, typical Istambul roof top stunt, and concluding on top of train. The agent eventually fails in his mission and puts his credibility at stake along with Madam M. The next thing they hear is they have cracked into MI6 system and blasts and revealing the 5 of their operatives. M then backs unfit Bond to find the brain behind these. Then he moves to Shanghai, to begin his hunt.

Then comes the really psychopath Javier Bardem, who gave his ultimate performance in No Country For Old Man, who have some unfinished problems with M played by Judi Dench. This person who steals the show from the moment he comes to the screen. Bond now have to protect M and take her to safety from silva played by Javier. This movie also have a new and smart Q, a young kid, who gave something to laugh abt in those one liners along with everyone else.

Sam Mendes here rewrote the traditional Bond movie structure of those techniques and rampage action stunts to well crafted dramatic touch into every scene. Real Bond fans might have some problem to deal with. Daniel Craig had a perfect script to put some a Macho performance along with some core scenes which he delivers. Judie Dench performance was something never looked upon gave a good one too.

Skyfall is real experience.

Ek Tha Tiger (2012)

Ek Tha Tiger can be ignored

If you expected from Ek Tha Tiger then you will be disappointed in a way, because it doesn't keep the promise the title and the previews offered.

Kicks off at Iraq where the protagonist a RAW agent n a mission which he successfully completes and returns home and picks up the assignment travels to London and keeps in touch with a so called scientist with the help of his house keeper lady which he eventually falls for turns to be an ISI agent. And Shifts to Istanbul they decide to unite which makes the agencies think they double crossed the country, decides to finish the RAW agent by RAW head and bring the ISI lady to Pakistan by their respective agency. The plot then focuses on how they counter the attack on them and how they succeed. thats all..

Kabir Khan done a great job with out his usual way of terrorism by making a love story out of it. And the special mention should go to the action choreographer ropped in from Hollywood, marvelous. The beauty of Istanbul Havana worth special mention doesn't see more often.

All in all Ek Tha Tiger is worth a watch for Sal-man and Kat only.

The Dark Knight Rises (2012)

The Real Saviour of Gotham City

As everybody knows Chris Nolan ending this batman series, the only point to note was was it going on a higher note that his previous tales. I bet it struck the bull's eye.

The power of the batman rises only with the immensely powered 'bane' played by Tom Hardy who take full control of the Gotham city by nullifying it from the external world with some demand of exploding the city if any one of the police force steps into the Gotham City through the only entrance which is available, the rest being demolished and taking The Dark Knight as his prisoner. The rest is how he comes up from the dust and avenges the Devils with the help of a Catwoman and a few Police officers.

This epic conclusion is magnificently pictured and with breath taking moments including some brilliantly captured explosion and a plane high jacking and on and on and on. Special mention goes to Hans ZImmer who brought the music to the maximum level and our own AR Rahman also worked with him.

The movie ends with typical Chris Nolan ending who is a master of story telling which he describes each side line story as we here from our grandmother. He deserves a special appreciation along with Christian Bale our Batman who did a marvelous job. The rest are Morgan Freeman, Ann Hathway, Gary Oldman, Marion Cotillard where really good.

Never miss this movie if u have seen the 1st and 2nd part. And if u haven't seen the previous one's never see this movie in the first place.

Hunting Season (2010)

simple and dialoguish

A hand of a female girl happens to appear at the woods. The senior officer along with his partner in investigation appear at the site along with a newbie. Investigation progress along with the personal life's of the the three investigators. The movie goes through some magnificent personal trauma. The rest is , will they find the rest of the body and catch the murderer and lock him up.

Performance wise sener sen is fabulous along with cemal hunal. Great cinematography and whole total good predictable and dramatic thriller to watch. Director cagam imrak has given a wonderful movie to watch. Especially at the climax scene where the chief meets the culprit ,they take a walk and revels the entire crime. The dialogues are meanted carefully in order to suite the situation.
