Sand Dollar Cove (2021)
Ok
I did like the setting and the storyline is overdone. But I was totally turned off when they went for a fishing lesson and Brody had her holding the fishing pole upside down. It was hoaky and unrealistic. He's supposed to be this big fishing guy.
The other thing was the all sacred pier. It was just a little pier. Easily incorporated into the development of a resort. They are supposedly developer experts. Again unrealistic.
Lincoln (2012)
Really?
Most boring movie I have watched in years. Lincoln's forehead makeup looked like rolls of rubber. It didn't even move with his face.
To Walk Invisible (2016)
enjoyed it
Loved the story but I have to admit that I, too, felt like it was too much Bramwell.
Also the music was so loud a lot of the time you couldn't understand what was being said.
Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019)
Tiring
Too long and too much of the same thing. Family separated by monsters trying to reunite amid bad drama and fighting creatures. At least they could have had a different plot. Monsters are great but the cast contains too many of the people that I find totally irritating from other shows/commercials.
Filmography is too dark to see what's going on most of the time. Really enjoyed the monsters tho.
Ferdinand (2017)
Questionable
Ahhhh, another movie meant for kids in which your children can be traumatized because the parent leaves (and dies) in the 1st part of the story! There are so many of these. What's the point of this? It doesn't help the story and worries kids.
Descendants 2 (2017)
Just so-so
Loved the music although in several places it is very obvious that the words do not match the lips that are doing the singing. The dragon is way too fake looking for this day and age of high tech movie realism. Also couldn't stand the sappiness of the love story theme and the character of goody-goody Ben. Too bad because this had the potential to be a thrilling musical for kids. Instead it's a fake, sappy show that seems like it's intended for little girls under the age of 7. There are, however, some good scenes, especially with the pirates. And there are some likable, heroic main characters (with the exception of Ben who is totally irritating), but I have to agree with another viewer who said that the actors look like they just want to go home. Can't blame them. Disney can do better. Little kids will probably like it.
