Master of None: Moments in Love, Chapter 1 (2021)
Not a review
Haven't seen it, but was disappointed to find out that Dev wouldn't be the focus. I was ready to trash this show because as a white male, I can't relate to a lesbian black couple, but then it hit me that this is how the LGBTQ community must feel about 99.9% of movies and tv. The reality is too many of us are selfish. We don't want to see gay shows, or people of color take over white roles.
Baby Driver (2017)
Boring.
Edgar Wright is on scholarship, Ansel Elgort has no charisma and Jon Hamm should fire his agent. Only Lily James stands out. This movie has a great premise, but it was astonishingly disappointing.
Life in a Year (2020)
Nepotism strikes again.
There's a scene in The Disaster artist, where Judd Apatow tells Tommy Wiseau, played by James Franco, how hard it is to make it. I wish he would remember that the next time, he and other powerful actors and filmmakers use their substantial clout to have their family cast on a show or in a film. It's a shame that two people like Will and Jada Smith, who made It on merit would take away a role from a deserving actor. Shame on them.
Charmed (2018)

Christian Bale and Charlton Heston were Moses. Joel Edgerton was Ramses. Nikolai Coster-Waldau was Horus. Gerard Butler was Set. Jeffrey Rush was Ra. What does this have to do with a Charmed review? Nothing, except a lot of you decided to tear down a show because white faces have been replaced by brown ones. Look I get it. When they rebooted One Day At A Time, and said the Romanos would be replaced by a Cuban family, I was excited because my parents were Spanish, French, and Cuban. So when I saw the cast was Puerto Rican and Mexican, I was disappointed and didn't watch it. And that was ok because, I didn't go out of my way to bring the show down, and you know what? It got great reviews, but sadly for the cast, the show got cancelled after three seasons. We have so many representations of whites on TV, would it kill us to let these three actresses have this? It's Charmed people, not The Godfather.
Bao (2018)
Better than The Incredibles 2.
Great animated short, this is Pixar at its best. I really enjoyed it, and so will you.
Roseanne (1988)
Roseanne Barr is a conspiracy theory furthering moron.
There is no conservation to be had with someone who is a complete hypocrite. How could her character support a man who violates the rights of trans people like her grandson? How can she blame Obama for something, "we almost lost our house," that was the direct result of a GOP administration and policies? This show normalizes and gives a pass to Trump supporters for their reckless lack of civic responsibility and being taken in by Russian propaganda. He's a crook, and his presidency is nothing but a dumpster fire. Shame on Roseanne Barr, and shame on head writer, Whitney Cummings.
