Solar Opposites: The Ping Pong Table (2023)
It's the same show, get over the voice
It feels no different as far as flow, humor, and proof Justin Roiland had totally checked out. I can imagine watching the first episode nobody has seen "Old Boy" or knows who Maria Bamford is. I hate that this and Rick and Morty has become a beacon for an Elon like cult of apologizing for problematic idiots that have checked out. The kind of mentality that is a specific kind of made up cancel culture (which doesn't even exist in the first place). It's just a bunch of incels who don't like they aren't cool and think that the behavior that Justin Roiland had had for years now is a normal thing. It's not. The episode is hilarious, a brilliant plot, and you get used to the new Korvo voice in a minute as long as that's not all you focus on. Just, UGGGHHH. It's not the best episode but it's still Solar Opposites in every other way. And again, all Justin ever did was take credit for the voices, he didn't show up to work or write crap.
Oppenheimer (2023)
The Fastest 3 Hours Of Your Life
Really. A movie that is just nonstop talking will fly by to a confusing point. How did I just see all that and ingest it all in 3 hours and it's like the previews just ended? The people who thought it dragged on forever... I mean... are you trying to make Americans look stupid? I usually really, no matter what, can barely make a 2.5 hour film without getting restless. That would include other Nolan films (all of which are great). This goes by faster than a kid's 75 minute movie as long as you know it's a biopic. Now that should be apparent based on the description of this movie being a biopic of Robert Oppenheimer, but I digress.
It's my new favorite movie of all time and a film professor's wet dream. Nothing like it ever made or ever will be. I would liken it almost to a non mocumentary Citizen Kane. Can't wait to see it again.
Reno 911!: The Hunt for QAnon (2021)
What did yall expect?
It's was fine, like not nearly as good as Miami or the best episodes but it was a Reno 911 movie about Q with Patton Oswaldt heavily involved. The fact people are pissed of all series to have cheap props.
Joe Pera Talks with You (2018)
I can't stop watching it over again
Seriously I have a serious issue here. I've had 2 weeks off of work and I have watched at least half the series every day. Specifically episodes 2-6, but they're all amazing. This is Man's crowning achievement. And the dude is actually from Buffalo which makes him even more awesome (he has an amazing bit about the Bills on youtube).
