Futurama (1999)
fantastic show
I read through all the comments and only found one that talked about Zapp Branigan and his alien second in command, Kip. Of all characters Groening ever created, this duo is right at the top of being the funniest. Branigan's endless self promoting is usually funny in itself, but Kip's groans to these outrageous comments never get old. I can just hear Kip reacting with an "uggghhh." Genious. As for the rest of the show, it is genuinely funny and clever, much like The Simpsons. If you watch the DVDs in succession, you really see how funny Zoidberg is and how he is generally disliked by everyone. Hermes is a needless character who provides little to no comedy. Professor Farnsworth is probably the funniest character because he is unconcerned with anything. My absolute favorite line from this show is when Leela kills the professor in the "What if" episode, then says to herself, just be non chalant. She walks into the next room and Zoidberg looks up at her and says, "Alright, alright, you're non chalant, we get it." That is pure genious comedy right there. Watching the DVDS also shows how funny the use of Scruffy, the janitor, is when he pops up at random times.
The Andy Dick Show (2001)
forgetting the question mark guy
Everyone is failing to mention the question mark guy who runs around trying to sell his book saying you'll get free money from the government. Dick makes this skit great by saying you can have sex with the entire country of Thailand....FREE!!! or something like that. You also can not leave out Zitty, who is trying to become a male model, while eating beef jerky from his portfolio and using crisco as an acne wash. Or the cell phone executive with a giant tumor on his ear. Daphne Aguilera was funny at first, but I became tired of it by the end. Although that clam juice or whatever skit was pretty damn funny. All in all, it was a great show that should come out on DVD soon, hopefully.
