Andra dansen (1983)
Great, poetic movie
Two girls set out in a rusty Citroen to the North of Sweden. The young one is only interested in adventures, she plays saxophone and use her Polaroid camera to express herself and record her surroundings, including her friend in embarrassing situations. The older one is traveling to see her father who she hasn't seen in a long time. When she at least comes to her parents house she is in for a big surprise. The subtext of the film is "when women travels" and is about their friendship and life. Great black and White road-movie. Kim Anderson won a Guldbagge(Oscar)for best female lead in a feature film. Peter Cowie(books about Kurosawa, Bergman and Coppola)named it one of the ten best film in Sweden.
Bosch (2014)
Sloppy at best
Yes, like most viewers I have read a lot of Connellys Harry Bosch-novels. Have a vision of him. And it's not Mr Welliver. I don't know if it's just bad acting or bad writing, but it's one of the sloppiest cop-show I've seen in a while. I nearly expected a voice over from Harry explaining in a whiskey laced voice his philosophy and how to handle death. The battle-fatigue war horse. Maybe that's been better than all the back-story they tried to squeeze in how incredibly successful and hard poor Harry have been through the years. That just slow down the whole series which lacks pace, tension and drama. A bit of staring and silence when the situation are tense is simply not good enough. It sucks. And the adolescent love affair between the old cop Harry and the rookie is just pathetic. "Where did you get that scar, Harry" etc. I don't see much of Michael Connellys stories in this series. It's very old fashioned and a bit boring and heavy-handed. Feels more like a TV-series from the 80. Without the charm and humor.
