Get Away If You Can (2022)
A slow and beautiful movie about the important things in life.
I really enjoyed the watch. I absolutely didn't know what to expect. Right at the start I was a bit drawn off by the performances, but the actors all grew into their roles.
I loved Ed Harris as evil dad.
I think Dominique Brown (which wrote, directed and starred in the movie!) did a great job depicting the struggling couple. It felt real and super relatable without dipping into clichés too much. I kinda disliked the complete immaturity of the male part. Sad, that could've been written in a more sophisticated, mature way. The guy can't handle himself at all and that makes it hard to believe the main girls love is so strong for him. That part fell short.
The love story is one thing, but the movie truly is about breaking free from the capitalist world and experiencing life as it should be experienced. A human being on an earthen ball on the way through the universe. I'm not into Pot, but that substance was used perfectly to convey a feeling of freedom. Really loved that scenes at the end and the artwork.
The film leaves the audience with a sense of togetherness and in awe of the beauty of this world. Also sets into perspective what most people think a life should be lived for. Good job, really suprisingly deep movie.

Really good action, with a surprisingly thorough take on philosophy.
What a great action flick! Fun from start to finish, with exactly the right amount of pseude science woven into it. The take on meaning of life, existence, perfect knowledge is a fun one, and deep enough to convey a feeling of grandesse.
Big shoutout to the amazing cast, ofc this feels utterly 'overcast', but I love all the big names in such a comparetively shallow script. Comparetively, because all in all it's a thoughtout, well done movie, that - just to set it into perspective - remains an action movie with sci-fi elements.
Great watch!
