Jackass Forever (2022)
Not their best but its still Jackass
First off, to the current arrogant top review with the title "The tired old men gird up their bruised loins and drag themselves through the motions once again," I think it'd be easier to say you wanted young yt people instead of saying "skateboarding kids off youtube." Just be up front about the dislike for anyone with melanin at that point. For my actual review of this movie.. its Jackass, I grew up with it from the start of the show on MTV. They're crazy and gross as usual but still hilarious. I don't judge those with and without melanin so I would say the new cast add ons were great, some were a little awkward and seemed to be forcing their laughs especially Rachel and Zach. Its to be expected though for any new person coming into a group they didn't grow up with or have much chemistry with. Personally I miss Bam being on this one but all in all, still a good watch for a mood lifter of laughs.
Peppermint (2018)
Garner is fantastic, the story is overdone and lame
We've seen it a thousand times - anyone foreign or brown or with an accent is automatically the bad guy. The hero is always the lightest skin tone. They want to make sure you know that the bad guys are foreign so of course let's play their Spanish music in the back when they're up to no good. Couldn't help but roll my eyes at the bad acting and over played storyline. Come up with something new please, and let's be more creative than always making the people that can actually tan without burning be the bad guys. Only reason I was able to watch was thanks to Jennifer's acting, love her.
The Darkness (2016)
Was good until the ending.
Kevin Bacon deserves way better than this. Only gave it a 3 because of his acting. The ending was awful. Why is it in every horror film with spirits they have to add an ethnic person that believes in ghosts to get rid of them since apparently Hollywood doesn't believe there are people in American culture that do exorcisms too? Great idea but awful ending.
Footloose (1984)
True Classic
Jump back! A must see for all 80's movie lovers. True cult classic - plus Kevin Bacon and dancing. What more could you need!?
