Palo Alto, CA (2007)
Now one of my top 5 favorite films.
I actually watched this movie after "IMDBing" Ben Savage and seeing this as his recent work decided to watch it. Also my Dad grew up in Palo,Alto Cal and I got even more interested. I don't usually watch independent films just because I usually never hear about them. But I actually really connected and liked this film, being around there age and feeling a bit confused in life at times. I sat down and watched and I was amazed with what I saw. So the next morning I made my sister watch it and she was just as amazed. This was by far one of the best I had ever seen. It reminded me of Juno or Nick and Norahs's infinite play list a bit. The performances are brilliant and actually has more truth to them then most movies. All I ask is you check it out. Give it a shot. And you might just find a new favorite like I did.
Rescue Me (2004)
One of the best shows I have even seen!!!!!!!
This show is one of the best of all time and definitely falls in my top 5. Leary is brilliant and deserves an Emmy. The writing is the very best with each character and their own language and development. The show deals with so much emotionally from Leary's character (Tommy Gavin) all the way to the least important characters. Every character is developed so much from episode to episode so well that you start to realize how bad other shows actually do from season to season. I am saying that this show is so good it makes others look bad. I was also pleased the 5th season finally was given 22 episodes instead of its normal 13 episode season. Now I am about to get a BIT OFF SUBJECT but trust me I will get back to Rescue Me. Now I have seen the show House and it seems like Hugh Laurie wins best lead actor ever year. But the truth is Dennis truly does deserve it. So I say please Rescue (pun intended) the good people at the academy and dive this show the awards it deserves.
