Aladdin (2019)
Loved it.
Watched the original a few years ago for the first time (was never allowed to watch Disney as a child so I've been watching all movies as an adult). I really enjoyed the original Aladdin, and while I'm usually not that into remakes, for some reason I was looking forward to this one. I watched it in the cinema and was not disappointed. Every scene looks amazing, with of course a great performance by Will Smith. It's just one big colourful musical which stays true to the idea behind the original, but gives a good twist which fits in the time it was made.
The only thing that could have been better is the casting of Jafar, he wasn't very convincing. Great work on the snake-staff effect though, very subtle. I know people have different opinions, but I know that I'm going to watch this version many more times in the future!
New Kids Turbo (2010)
Fantastic Movie, even better than the Sketches.
I've just seen New Kids Turbo in the cinema, and I'm not disappointed. The same humor is used as in the Sketches, and the storyline is worked out great. If you're a fan of New Kids you're also gonna like it. Everything is played very well, and you really get sucked into the movie, and I guess the whole cinema thought the same. Everyone was laughing all the time, and the humor in the movie isn't made for 'stupid' people. There are a lot of smart jokes, and great plot twists that make everything more enjoyable. (btw, sorry for my bad English, but come on.. It's a Dutch movie, nobody from other countries is gonna watch this)
Doctor Who: The End of Time: Part Two (2010)
Brilliant!
After seeing the fantastic first part of 'The End of Time', I couldn't wait for Part Two. Now after seeing part two, I know that my waiting is rewarded.
The episode itself is written fantastic, it starts great, in the middle there's one or two minutes that are a bit less interesting, but that doesn't matter anymore after seeing the FANTASTIC ending, I'll not spoil it for you, but RTD did an awesome job here, it couldn't be better.
I hope RTD will continue with Torchwood, after finishing writing for Doctor Who, and maybe write once in a while another DW episode.
I recommend this special to everyone!
