Road House (2024)

The movie would be quite good without McGregor

A remake of the 1989 classic. Although the Plot description of the film is no different now.

The main cast itself cannot be compared. While the original Swayze is a legend of his time, Gyllenhaal of today's version is certainly great in my opinion, but not up to the same level.

Cons.. The first thing that came to mind was the momentarily bad decisions in filming, which of course did not affect the movie experience much in the end.

The biggest minus was the use of McGregor. You write what you read about the guy, as if he were acting himself. An asshole, that's a big mistake.

Finally some good stuff.

Some impressive downright flying cgi scenes.

A familiar and safe story.

Only a few well-known actors gave a workable result.

Bottom line.. an 8 star movie drops to just 6 stars, mainly because of McGregor.

Old (2021)

The worst of Shyamalan's movies, even though the ending was okay

Shyamalan's name in a film usually promises mystery, as in this case. In this case, it would have been better not to read the review. At the same time, the name also says that the final implementation might not be as good as the idea itself might be.

Certainly many things could have been done differently. The idea for the plot was really good. The actor choices were good, even surprisingly good, especially considering the similarity of the faces when describing the aging of the characters.

The filming, in my opinion, was not terribly successful either. A few camera runs were interesting, but a bit distracting and the end result didn't work.

The mystery film also got a little bit of horror elements.

However, the end was surprisingly successful, with plot twists, I would have only made it a little longer.

The end result is an okay movie to watch once.

Expend4bles (2023)

And that's how a great movie series was ruined!

Finally and finally a sequel to a quite brilliant film series, I saw 80's and 90's action stars as fans.

The previous parts were more or less brilliant, so expectations were high.

Whatever happened. Even though I'm a fan of Statham as a result of his action movies, this one just didn't work. If the script had been fine-tuned, it would have worked as his own spinoff, of course many others have talked about it in the reviews.

As for the rest and better some new people, Fox and some 50cent and Tony Jaa and Iko Uwais.

The above didn't really work. Fox doesn't know how to act and his gifts are more in his appearance, which is also not at the same level as before. A piece of junk that immediately drops the grade, unfortunately. This same problem applies to 50cent. Once a rap artist, has the money already run out when you're trying to spoil movies.

Well the latter, great action stars from Asia, I had already forgotten their presence here. I was happy when I saw it, but somehow the roles and their talent at the level of action remained really muted, which was extremely sad. How come they were written about so pointlessly.

I'm also used to comedy in these movies, but this one didn't make me laugh much, rather it caused a few funny smiles.

The end result, if it remains the last movie, is a regrettably bad ending to a film series that started wonderfully.

Friday the 13th (1980)

Cult and slasher, at least according to some. But it didn't last long.

I just watched the newer Friday the 13th movie, the 2009 version. Then it occurred to me that I haven't seen more than a few clips of the movie series itself and I noticed that there are quite a lot of movies from the beginning of the 80s..

I don't know much about this series, as I usually watch Halloween movies.

Well, I decided to start from the beginning.. Well, these are almost cult-like and slashers. For me, that means something really special must-see, even though I haven't seen it yet, and a lot of blood from the slasher side, etc.

Well... Apparently, there have been a lot of changes in style and customs over the past 40 years. The movie seemed mostly like a c-grade horror comedy, which is full of clichés.. But what can you do when you've watched mostly 2k movies, especially when it comes to horror..

A movie that would have fit into about 1.5 hours instead of about a good hour.. Okay, now I have to remember that I must have missed some special version.. was it uncut..

I still have to say that it hasn't really taken long.., although 4ov is a long time..

Let's still continue until the sequels and hope for the best..

Gamer (2009)

a very weak movie that cannot be recommended in any way.

The only good thing was an idea that could have been made into a good movie. And of course a few well-known actors.

Pan (2015)

A familiar story a little too predictable for children, however.

Here is an adaptation that is a visually impressive adventure film from a familiar story, but that's about it.

When reviewing this, I would like to note that it is a children's film, even if it is watched by an adult man. From this movie, I was looking for a familiar story with a light mood and a happy story, or at least the ending. A few singing scenes were positively surprising.

After all this, the whole thing was quite entertaining, even though it was a predictable movie. Well, the viewers are mostly children.

Resident Evil (2022)

Damn, except maybe if you imagine you're watching something other than the Resident Evil series..

This was being barked at everywhere, but I thought I'd give it a chance...

Well, I managed to watch half of the first episode. As many have said, the only things that refer to the source material are the name and the zombies, or why should they be called orcs.

And the main characters... let it be.. nothing good to say..

Stranger Things: Chapter Two: Vecna's Curse (2022) Season 4, Episode 2

The small but tough scene had a depressing effect on the assessment of an otherwise good period.

While the stars show that the episode is weak, it is not.

Why did I only give 5/10

There are problems with bullying in the world anyway. Whether it's a child or an adult, maybe a school or a job, it's still completely wrong. There was a very intense scene in this episode on the subject. In part, it tells us that the part and visuality of the story, that is, the scene depicted and played, works and evokes strong feelings.

In this case, everything belongs to the plot. We are still young and in school. People are mentally undeveloped and stupid at least in part. Empathy inability and self-fulfillment. I guess I have lost far too many of these teen movies where the story is based on this.

And best of all, that situation in the episode culminated in an act that the bullied might sink into doing. Sometimes it's right and it works, but sometimes we go too far. Violence is never the answer.

But that scene was so annoying and long-lasting that it forced her to feel for the episode. Although most of the episode was estimated at 8 levels, that scene was so disgusting that it couldn't be given.

Moonfall (2022)

An impressive film with effects, but otherwise unfinished in content.

An impressive movie with effects, but it really stays that way, unfortunately.

The screenwriters could have thought about the content for a while longer. An idea that works in itself, because I am not a believer, for example. The end result just doesn't work when it's overwhelming in its plot, and I'm not just referring to the moon hitting the ground, which on the other hand isn't a crazier thing at all.

As for the characters and other encounters in the story, I was perhaps most disturbed by the almost complete absence from the rest of the film from the rest of the administration, of course the focus here was on the gang operating inside Nasa, but still.

The end result is a film that is visually stunning, but unfinished in its story and characters.

The Batman (2022)

Pattison just doesn't fit as a batman.

It should be mentioned at the outset that Pattison is not suitable as a batman.

Too lean and too few muscles, just the same no matter how you trained for that. Yes, Nolan's Bale is also skinny but was more muscular nonetheless.

Anyway, no matter how young Bruce Wayne was, that gothic style didn't work.

As for the style and narration of the story itself, this kind of detective-style implementation was interesting, but knew how to be really slow and long-winded. A few times something had to be done during the film other than watching.

Maybe this works for some when the average star rating was something like 8 categories here. Personally, I mainly wonder if 6 stars are too much for this, given what I just wrote.

Archive (2020)

Freezingly slow-paced and boring.

I wasted just over an hour then, but luckily I realized to stop in the middle. Maybe someone else will get something intentional out of this movie.

As such, the catalog was functional, but everything else felt strange and useless. Freezingly slow-paced and boring.

I won't tell you more about this, because as a movie it doesn't really deserve anything else, but I guess there was something deeper here, it just didn't work for me.

Nowhere to Run (1993)

Disappointing for those waiting for action.

Frustration. When you start watching a movie that is defined as an action movie starring Van Damme, expect a great action or an allusion to it. It was hardly in this movie until the last 20min. Of course, otherwise there were momentarily small references to the action during the film. For example, if you're a real Van Damme fan this is part of the collection, but not because of its action. I would say more of a drama as a film that is lightly spiced with action.

Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins (1985)

Lots of potential and a lot of wasted time. Entertaining yet.

I finally got a chance to watch a movie that has been at least 20 years old since I last watched it.

There were a few memories .. Perhaps the biggest one was that bullet dodging and training track that ran along objects and things.

Surely already at that time I would have gotten a lot more out of the subject and somehow it just felt like this was a bit done there. Of course, in modern times, similar filming would be clearly of higher quality. But not enough of this film has lasted.

I still by no means regret that now, years later, I looked at this again. A very nostalgic moment.

But that and these points don't overestimate the estimate.

BlacKkKlansman (2018)

A one-time watch movie with some sort of saying.

There were some expectations for this movie, especially when one of the actors has talents from his own country. Jasper Pääkkönen, who also visited the Vikings series.

However, a few well-known actors and Jasper will not save the film. A battle between two races at the heart. Quite a predictable and boring movie. The message is and will certainly make more and less think.

The end result is to watch the ok movie once.

Ghostbusters: Afterlife (2021)

While the rest of the movie is going very well, unfortunately it doesn't save the entire movie.

It's almost pointless to compare to a previous Ghostbusters movie from 2016, it was pretty awful. But the boots are great when it comes to making a sequel to the classics. This is not perfect either. The beginning seemed to be long before the plot properly proceeds.

Of course I understand that new characters and backgrounds need to be opened up .. Somehow it just wasn't interesting enough.

But when the momentum is gained, the curious interest wakes up properly and especially the cameos of the end were functional and touching. These are only understood when you know the originals properly.

This is by no means bad and the rest is already taking care of the home, but it still taxes the rating that applies to the whole film.

The Punisher (1989)

Caused a bigger disappointment, but the fire came to an end.

I finally got to see this. And there were no higher expectations than what can be expected from an action hero film in the 80s and 90s, albeit in the late 80s.

Compared to that, it was a big disappointment. And the question arises as to whether Dolph Lundgren can act. Sure, the script and editing were pretty awful to watch in places. Maybe act at the time, and not 30 years later. All this considering 5/10. The bluuka goes on sale even though Lundgren is the target of some level of fanaticism.

Syke: Hätätila (2021)

If you liked the series you will love this one!

Already following and watching the series itself, the expectations were high.

Finally and finally today I got to watch that movie. Just over 1.5 hours went pretty fast. Many well-known Actors were bustling in the background, even though there were only a handful of them at the center. Tiina Lymin's Marleena character "Return" was a positive surprise!

The film certainly doesn't work nearly as well for others as we have already watched the original series.

Very good for a domestic or in other words Finnish film!

Red Notice (2021)

Through advertising, expectations are otherwise too high for a good movie, but it works!

The premise was that this was advertised as "the first scene is unseen before"

Just yeah, that shouldn't be to blame for the film, but unfortunately it created a strong starting point for the film and showed great disappointment, which of course affects the stars.

The actor of the guard himself belongs, would I say the biggest names in Hollywood at the moment, which also contributed to the interest.

The end result is just nothing too special.

An entertaining brain cloakroom action adventure.

No Time to Die (2021)

Bond as a movie very failed!

I have to say right from the start that the worst bond movie ever, even though I haven't seen it all.

A story that deviates from normal just too much and I think is too long, and the end didn't grab any. If the protagonist had been someone other than James Bond the film would have worked, but now we went into the woods and badly!

The trailer gives a much more interesting picture of the movie than the end result will eventually show!

I watched the movie in the theater but luckily I didn't waste my own money on such a failure.

Overall, the story was interesting, the show a success and many other things worked, but not the bond as a movie!

Left Behind (I) (2014)

Progressing slowly and something confusing is happening.

I didn't really expect a godparent like this. Of course, at the beginning I noticed that it didn't seem very promising. Somehow everything was wrong. There were no explanations and the film ran out.

Was it meant to do something trilogy? Is this the case .. But it doesn't save this movie. This, too, could have been shrunk to just over an hour easily. A few well-known actors, but neither saved.

It is not worth wasting time on this.

Free Guy (2021)

Let's start with the word "great" movie, perhaps perfect?!?

In general, Marvel's films have been almost comparable to perfection, here's my film in my taste, but this one passed, of course, touching the bar too!

I was already expecting the biggest based on Trailers alone and what you knew about the movie before the release so much!

It felt like the movie ended too early. Every second interested!

I can also understand those who do not like. If you don't like gaming don't understand much about this!

While this didn't bother too much with the side characters "that are an integral part of the story" quite too much, this still worked perfectly!

I hope, outright praying, that a sequel would be made somehow !!!

This will definitely get a 4k record on the shelf !!

You Were Never Really Here (2017)

Cannes was held, but what about the normal people? A waste of time this.

It seems that only supposedly artistic films are appreciated in Cannes. I've never appreciated the movies that thrive there. Got applause there 7min, just yeah.

The beginning was already very strange and confusing and the confusion continued at different levels throughout the film. Maybe it portrayed the trauma of a person played by Phoenix, but I feel the feeling of this has failed.

Phoenix certainly pulled his role well, I don't deny that. But there was more or less wrong with everything else.

I do not recommend!

Vacation Friends (2021)

Just ok movie vkloppu with the beer of the evening, no more.

I had read some small review of this, very small. And somehow I was created for it, and it didn't turn out to be disappointing, after all, the film wasn't very miraculous.

As my 6 stars say, it has to be looked at about once. A few times I could laugh. Just ok Fri or Sat tonight movie with the bald ones, no more. A few well-known, well known to some, failed to save a film whose script is rather weak.

Starship Troopers 2: Hero of the Federation (2004 Video)

What came to mind about the movie?

A few pretty beautiful women and a little bloodshed and best of all, an action horror movie that even made me laugh!

So how can this kind of crap be done as a sequel to such a high quality original film ??

Description and cutting in places is terrible! B class movie if not even c class!

Can't Buy Me Love (1987)

A basic romantic comedy about teens, which, however, offers nothing miraculous, despite a good ending, without being completely unworthy.

I started looking at this quite carefully. Basically, I hate those teenage movies where the protagonist is unpopular, etc .. But when I periodically, or rather took a look from the beginning, interest began to wake up.

The characters are very traditionally stereotypical and disgusting. On the other hand, it was nice to follow the journey of this unpopular character in a changing life situation. And what's funniest, if you can say it, is identifying an actor when you've only seen him as an adult in some role. So I will watch 87 films of the year in 2021 ..

Fortunately, once again, the end brings with it something good. What more would you expect from a romantic comedy.

Overall a good movie, although it doesn't offer anything very miraculous though.
