Person of Interest: Relevance (2013)
I just loved Shaw
PoI is turning the attention to a different kind of plot and I love it.
Root is back (her scene was awesome!), I like when Leon appears, he always gives this show a funny look.
The series has been introducing lots of characters lately. And important ones.
I just hope Shaw turns into a main one, and not a spin-off main character. I think she'd be perfect to form a trio with Finch and Reese (not counting with Bear :P).
I finished the 1st season rating it with a 7. Right now I'm considering summing 2 values up.
Person of Interest: Dead Reckoning (2013)
When will this great action-twist stop?
I've been doing a PoI marathon these latest days and I regret I didn't do it earlier...
It was the 1st episode without any numbers to save, which action was the word of the day.
Lots of twists, mainly in the end, made of this episode one of my favorites.
I gotta say I had a hunch about the bomb-vest IMEI unlock number, and I am glad I was right, made me feel I could save John too.
I wasn't expecting Snow to kill Kara and honestly I expected her to live way longer, as one of the main antagonists...too bad, maybe it would be better for the show.
Finally, Harold Finch was the guy selling the laptop? What is going on here? Who's Finch, after all? After so many episodes I still feel I don't know that man.
I hope Nolan doesn't disappoint the fans, because the show is creating a lot of question and huge expectations.
Person of Interest: Prisoner's Dilemma (2013)
A different kind of episode
So, we've been used to a certain kind of script throughout one season and a half. And I can't say that's bad. It's like in many other series (House, CSI, etc.) where you have the same beginning, development, climax and then finale in each episode (I mean their construction of course). Person of Interest has been doing it successfully, since you never got tired of that construction, of that precise kind of scripting. But in this one, Nolan pulled a trick out of his hat and made a astonishing deed in this business. He took the attention out of the machine and numbers and focused it on John being in trouble, without direct help...in a prison!! I won't spoil too much, but this was a great episode, maybe the best so far. It was super different, original and got involved several characters from the beginning until now. Plus, John's past has being more and more uncovered and it's good for the show. The same goes for Harold.
This show had already presented us with 3 main antagonists: Elias, Root and Wesley. This episode gave us one more which could be even more important than the last two mentioned: John's former partner, Kara.
An unexpected finale with a great 43' enjoyment. Because of this episode I elevated the show rating from 7 to 8.
Flashforward: Future Shock (2010)
FlashForward: a perfect series screwed by ABC
Like I said...ABC blew everything up. FF would be the best series ever! Nice plot. This is also American people fault! Europe uses to watch this, but American people (the majority) prefers series like Grey's Anatomy or Vampire's Diary instead of this awesome series which makes people thinking for an entire week until the next episode comes out. Anyway, I still got some hope that another TV company get the FF rights and make a 2nd season... Unfortunetely, I believe that even if they make a new season, FF wouldn't achieve such greatness. We saw that they rushed the series (obviously) and there were so many not answered question remaining and that would make the 2nd season a bit different, since "know" we know what happened to Mark, Tracy, Aaron and so many more. Dunno, I'm just disappointed with ABC. I really love FlashForward and I'm really sad because of its end.
Flashforward: The Garden of Forking Paths (2010)
One of the best episodes (and series) I've ever seen
FlashForward brought us an possible apocalyptic future where a genius man is a sort of God, yeah, a God, cause he knows the future, he was there several times and he also can control it. But not today, not in this episode. Mark was smarter and Frost got killed (unfortunately, once he was the key). Now, this was the best episode ever in FlashForward 1st Season. Like I said, FlashForward is full of genius plans and for me the psychological games in this series are further better than Saw death games or even Scofield Prison Break's plans and that's the kind of stuff which make people sit on their sofa and watch television series/movies. Demitri or Dyson? 78% for Dem and the statistics were actually right. From now on I believe we all are going to miss Dyson Frost...by the way, December 12th 2016 THE END?? Now this caught my attention :D Damn, 10 of 10 for the episode and for the series. FlashForward is the story that world needed. Super original and innovative.
