You Don't Know Jack (2010)
No matter how high your expectations are ... this movie is going to meet them!
I was watching and watching... and watching. I was astonished, such a great movie, touching story, a wonderful documentary, a wonderful drama, a wonderful Pacino, just great.
Unlike most dramas it is not cheesy, from the beginning to the end it is a story about a real man. One of the movies that makes you think and you do not forget immediately after the end.
The thing I liked the most is that similar to Jack Kevorkian, the movie does not put Jack in the center of events, but the topic of euthanasia. Maybe the movie is trying to be manipulative and is a bit one sided, but who cares still everything about it is just pure greatness.
Top Gear USA (2008)
Core Disaster!
I was watching it with a friend of mine the only fun part of the show was discussing the flows. It is tasteless, boring and there is nothing fresh and entertaining. The hosts are trying to do something original and hip, but especially for two of them it is very hard and they are very misplaced. The biggest problem is the script though, it looks like it is made for NASCAR fans, meaning that is as annoying an boring similar to NASCAR race.
While I was watching I tried not to compare them to the original TG, but it just lacks.... well everything: the humor, critic, excitement and insanity of it's British big brother. When there is a new TGUK season you just wait in anticipation, well in the TGUSA case we will just wait for it to be banned.
The only thing I could not understand is how could some one let them use Top Gear's name!
Exit Through the Gift Shop (2010)
90 minute Banksy graffiti
I just hate when I don't understand weather a movie is a hoax, but in this case it did not matter. It is purely genius, straight forward and sarcastic just on the right places. Like a 90 minute Banksy graffiti. One of the few movies you expect a lot from and that is exactly what you get. Shows the logical point of view about modern art and at the same time it is presented by a great artist.
There is everything you expect from a movie: storyline, excitement, action and most importantly if you care about art in a genuine way you somehow relate to it. The things that make modern movies annoying are missing and it is pure pleasure from the beginning to the end. The whole story is very shocking and weather reality or just a Banksy it is a pure masterpiece.
To talk about the movie is very hard though, it is like Angelina Jolly says "talking about love is like dancing on architecture", well talking about Exit Through the Gift Shop is like, well just pointless
. So watch it!
