Galaxy Quest (1999)
One of the funniest movies in the galaxy
25 April 2003
When I saw ads for this movie, I thought it was just going to be another Sci-Fi film. But it confused me when comedy actors like Tim Allen, Sigorny Weaver, and Alan Rickman showed up for the main characters. I decided, why not, and tried it.

I was laughing SO HARD I could barely contain myself. Every other line was a huge comedy extraveganza. Everyone sunk so deeply into their role. Tim just fit naturally with this rich, well-loved actor (surprise, surprise)Sigorny Weaver shone as Gwen with the funny catch lines and the frustration. Alan Rickman seemed perfect for the actor genius of Alexander, and you can tell he really enjoyed his part.

I URGE EVERYONE TO SEE THIS, EVEN IF THEY HATE SCI-FI MOVIES. THIS IS ONE OF THOSE MOVIES THAT IS IMPOSSIBLE NOT TO LOVE.

Little Laugh a Second
25 April 2003
This movie was beyond funny. Rick Morranis shines again, using his wonderful acting skills. Steve Martin is absolutely perfect for the role (of course he could play Mr. Potado Head and still perform amazingly.) This movie has catching songs, an original plot, and who can resist a venus flytrap that eats people. Rick and Steve should be in more films together in the future. They make one of the best acting pairs I've seen.

Very average
25 April 2003
This movie was generally okay. Nothing amazing, nothing surprising. I guess I particularly liked Violet, the gum-chewing maniac. This movie isn't necessarily one I'd reccommend. It misses the mark, but it's not the worst of the game. After all, it has Oopmaloompa's, doesn't it??

Twisted Faith
25 April 2003
The movie was enjoyable because Haley Mills was in it, but I was confused about the movie's plot. It seems to deal with twisted faith, a crook convincing him that he's Jesus. I didn't really understand the point, but it still is a good movie for Christians confused with their own faith.

Walt at his Finest
25 April 2003
He helped the director pick out the most perfect people for each role. Haley Mills is really sweet and adorable, and this is probably the the film where boys started going, "Wow! Who's she? She's cute!" This was a very cute movie, and she can sing, too. The overall plot was good, but might have been a little confusing at times. Overall, an adorable movie, and if Walt Disney were alive to see all the positive recognition the movie's getting, he'd be proud.

South Park (1997– )
What the - beep?
13 April 2003
This show is beyond stupid. And what exactly is the point of Kenny dying in about every episode. This show definately wins the gold medal for worst show on the planet! You can hardly even understand the characters, and who the hell cares if nine-year olds talk like sailors, and how unrealistic is that? If I would have agreed to make this huge piece of bullcrap, I'd hang myself.

what was wonderworks thinking?
13 April 2003
This movie was nothing like the book. While the book was attention-grabbing and inspiring, the movie is cheesy and boring! Jesse falling off a ferris wheel? Did they even have ferris wheels back then? And unless Mae Tuck was attempting suicide, there is no way she could have cut her finger completely off just by cutting a damn piece of food! I couldn't even get the first 15 minutes before I literally fell asleep. If you can't fall asleep, this is a good movie, if you want entertainment, don't even think about this poor excuse for a movie.

Get a Clue (2002 TV Movie)
It's a joke, people
6 April 2003
Many people don't get the whole superficial girls thing. It's supposed to be like that, as glamour girls turn into good spied. It's a joke, the funny part about the plot. Lindsay Lohan is an awesome actress, and very versatile, handling the part of Lexy well. And what happened to Bug Hall? He got cute!

Lizzie McGuire (2001–2004)
Get A Clue, Kate Sanders
6 April 2003
I think Ashlie Brillaut's character (Kate Sanders) needs to get a clue. You'd think after the punch, cake, chilli, trick box, and green hair, she'd leave Lizzie alone! But no! What is so amusing about making Lizzie miserable. Not only that, but she's got to have better combacks than that. Sorry, honey, but "whatever" just doesn't cut it. Nothing against Ashlie Brillaut personally, but she should probably talk to her director about giving the character an additude ajustment.

Finally, a movie I can never get bored with
6 April 2003
I've watched this movie ??? times and truly enjoyed it. I myself felt quite a bit like Mia, being this social outcast when it came to school. Having to deal with the teasing and the one-liners of Lana Thomas (Mandy Moore). When the revenge came with the cone, I was thinking, woah, that Mia's got some spine. An what happened to Julie Andrews? I haven't seen her in ages and all of a sudden she shows up in this spectacular performance as the queen of Genovia. Cool.

An okay movie
6 April 2003
This movie was okay but inferior to the book. I thought that the actors did not fully capture the characters but they did fairly well. I think that too much of the book was left out, but then again if they included the entire book it would be about 6 hours long! All in all, an okay movie. Not the best.

Artificial sponge?
6 April 2003
Okay, let me clarify this. An artificial sponge (he's not real because no real sponges are perfectly square) lives under the sea in a pineapple with a snail that meows excessively, a stupid friend, and an irritated neighbor? Okay, this movie has really pushed its limits. It used to be funny, but now it's just a waste of valueable programming. If they need to fill up Nickoloden hours, fill it up with Clarissa Explains it All, Pete and Pets, or some other worthwhile classics. Spongebob is the third stupidest show I've ever seen (Catdog is the stupidest, Butt Ugly Martians comes in a close second)

The Wonderful World of Disney: Life-Size (2000)
Season 3, Episode 8
Lohan credit
6 April 2003
The only reason I truly saw it was because of Lindsay Lohan. This movie was funny and really adorable, and Lindsay grew into quite a pretty young lady. With Tyra Banks in it I though the movie was going to be one big fashion shoot, but I was happily mistaken, because she could both act and sing well. Lindsay Lohan, of course, was perfect, and Jerry Burns did a great job as well. :)

Didn't work, people!
6 April 2003
This movie was really weird. It's like they were trying to mix Beetlejuice and Clue, but it didn't quite work. What was Turtle's problem? Why did she keep on kicking everyone's shins? According to the ad and my friends, I was expecting it to be awesome, but I was disappointed. I've seen much better.

Clarissa Explains It All (1991–1994)
Right on the money
6 April 2003
You hit it right on the money, Cousteau. Clarissa was a cute show with other people who have to deal with the teen years (need I say more) Clarissa is a witty, fun character who, well, tells it like it is. The only thing I disagree with is that repetatedly she talked about her life being a teenage hell. She's pretty, popular, has awesome style, loving parents, and tons of revenge on Fergbreath. I'm so angry that Nickeloden took it off air and replaced it with Catdog, Butt Ugly, Martians, Spongebob, and all the other poor excuses for shows. We need Clarissa so Nickoloden will still have some sanity.

Hilarious!
6 April 2003
This is definately one of the better movies I've seen. Hilarious and attention-grabbing, I could not stop laughing. Nowadays, I act out the dialogue all the time. Both John Candy and Dan Akyroyd did an awesome job, and I give them huge props for their performences.

Beetlejuice (1988)
Cool Gothic-Inspired Movie
6 April 2003
This movie is very cool. A depressed, gothic-inspired outsider teams with two newlywed ghosts makes this movie an interesting contrast. While I never particularly like Michael Keaton, I though he did a superior job as Beetlejuice. What I don't get is how they finally got to pronouncing his name right when they wanted to call him. I really liked the contrast of the movie, and although some people would consider it weird, you can learn alot from the plot.

A Little Princess (1986–1987)
Not the best Wonderworks movie, but close to it
6 April 2003
This Little Princess is actually realistic to the book. The 1939 version is annoying and predictable, and Shirley Temple makes Sara seem mean and snotty instead of kind and solemn. And the 1995 version is too modernized. It's good that Liesel Matthews can sing, but what's that got to do with the story? New York? Mr. Randolph? All these details made it hard to concentrate. But this one was was the best out of the three. Amelia Shankely seemed just right for the part of Sara, even looking like her. This movie was sad, but that was the way it was supposed to be, A Little Princess isn't a comedy, although the other two versions though it was, making it too light, while this drama was smart and robust. Everyone did remarkable work.

Best Wonderworks Movie
6 April 2003
Most of the Wonderworks Movies I've seen were boring, but this one had interest in it. Megan Follows portrayed an excellent Anne, and Colleen Dewhurst portrayed an excellent Marilla. As for the rest of the characters, they needed to stop worrying! It seemed as if the others were afraid of the camera. Good job, though.

Freaky Friday (1976)
A Very Cute Film
6 April 2003
I was born in the 80's, so I didn't appreciate this film as much as a 70's teen would have but overall it was a very cute film. The plot was adorable, the different characters were memorable, and the sibling rivalry was awesome! Score 9/10
