Come Play (2020)
Really disappointing
1 November 2020
The jump scares weren't even scary. The acting was too bad and the plot is badly written and messy. The directing is mediocre at best since he doesn't build up the tense and his story was quite boring and forgettable.

Mulan (2020)
Don't waste your time and money on this.
5 September 2020
The comparsion between this and the 1998's animated classic is inevitable for obvious reasons. But I won't stick to that. The film itself is really, really bad and many times, it feels like an independent b movie. The plot is rushed and uninspired and the pacing/editing has LOTS of problems. Last but not least, the acting is terrible, especially the female lead, who is wooden, with no emotion and her acting skills are mediocre at best. I wonder were all the budget went ($200 million). The only good thing was the music.

I don't have a problem with all these Disney live action remakes, unless they're done with love and caution like The Jungle Book. Mulan lacked both.

The Other Me (2019–2023)
The crime show you didn't know you wanted!
17 June 2019
This series is a non direct sequel to the movie " The Other Me" (Eteros Ego in Greek), created by the same guys who made the movie, produced by the company Cosmote TV. The whole plot of the series takes place 2 years after the events of the movie. This time, the professor of criminology Dimitris Lainis and his team have to find a serial killer who murders people based on the six labors of Theseus.

I am impressed. In fact, I never expected this show to be that good. The film was great but the show took things even deeper. The acting is superb, the plot keeps the viewer intrigued, the cinematography is top notch and the director has done a fantastic job. The soundtrack is also amazing.

For the first time in my life I couldn't find who the killer was and until his/her reveal I was completely in the dark. The plot is really complex, but in a good way!

I advise you to watch the movie first (it can be found on YouTube uploaded by the director himself in high quality), and then watch the show. For me this series is defenitely the best Greek tv show I have ever seen. It's easily on the same level as many Netflix productions. The producers have done a magnificent job!

Give it a try! You won't be disappointed!

High Seas (2019–2020)
Starts good but...
25 May 2019
...loses its charm quickly.

If you're expecting a murder mystery plot similar to Agatha Christie's novels, you won't find it here. It's more of a soap opera with some silly dialogs and clichés. There is a mystery which was the only thing that kept me but it was solved quickly. Starts good but goes downhill fast and fails to deliver a proper and believable story. It's like Gran Hotel. After the resolve of the main mystery it keeps having "twists" similar to "oh I finally found my lost relative", "oh this character has a secret", "oh this character's secret has a secret" etc

Most faithful adaption of Constantine yet
25 May 2019
That's a mini review about the movie, not the tv show (even if the show is part of the movie). I watched the film yesterday which contained the first 5 episodes of the animated show and took them further into a full, completed story.

I don't blame people who didn't like the show since the episodes were ridiculously short (only 5 minutes each) but the film is a different story. Matt Ryan shines once again as Constantine with good support from the rest of the cast. The story is probably the darkest story I've seen in an animated film and there are many shocking scenes and surprises. As I mentioned in the title, this is undoubtedly the best adaption of John Constantine. The character is actually a damaged character, haunted from his past, trying to find some purpose in life (at least that's how the original Hellblazer presented him to us) and the film captures that perfectly.

I liked the live action series, I loved the Justice League Dark film but City of Demons goes even deeper and gives us the darkest and more mature animated film/series in the DC Universe. Highly recommended.

American Gods (2017–2021)
Season 2 is a joke
1 April 2019
I've watched till S02E04

I loved season 1. In fact, I bought the book because of season 1. Then there were rumors that the show would be canceled and then the showrunners left. After a year in hiatus, the show returned and... Well... NO! Everything seems off.

Feels like a completely different show and not in a good way. Even the actors look like they are bored while the plot is a bit messy and not built properly. Something is missing and it does not have the magic of season 1. They try too hard to make it look "cool" and edgy and it doesn't feel natural at all the way they do it.

I don't feel entertained anymore. Hell, I don't even enjoy watching this. There are many good shows to spend your time. Maybe it's not for me. Either way I'm out.

5 stars for the first season, 0 stars for season 2.

He is NOT finished yet!
21 September 2012
I watched this with low expectations. I love the graphic novel (even if I don't like Miller's drawing style) for its unique and dynamic story. Besides, this story changed Bataman's icon making him the badass we now nowadays.

The truth is, I Totally loved this animated movie! Everything is so well made! The characters, the music which by the way fits perfectly, the fight scenes... The models are better than the ones in the graphic novel while the voice acting is superb! Peter Weller does an astonishing job as the voice of the Bat! I totally recommend this animated movie!

Don't try to compare this with the graphic novel! You'll lose everything of importance! Try to enjoy the film and, believe me, you will! ;)
