Stella (1990)
the best drama that I have ever seen - Spoilers
18 August 2003
Warning: Spoilers
This movie always makes me cry in the end when Bette Middler sees her daughter`s wedding from the distance because the only thing she wants is to see the face of her little girl to know if she`s happy...God, I think I`m gonna cry again ! The best part of the movie obviously is when Stella( againts her will and with a broken heart ) dissapoints Jenny( Trini Alvarado - EXCELLENT !!!) with a terrible fight(broken glasses included) with the only intention that her daughter comes back to New York with his father who could give her a better life.

TRASH !!
10 July 2003
I´m really tired of wasting my time with the boring movies of hollywood superstars. I can´t believe any word that Julia Roberts or Catherine Zeta Jones say after seeing them in the headlines of the newspapers selling his personal life when the real work of an actor is to be a real actor and not to do trash that could give million of dollars. Obviously, this two actresses are not able to do something more interesting like an independent film, they just live for money, that´s their job. There´s no chemistry between any of the actors. I can only rescue John Cusack from this film althought he was much better in the excellent "The sure thing " so if you want to know what romantic comedy is, rent this hit of 1985.

Doesn´t Work
10 July 2003
The movies based on the 80´s will never work because for everyone who remember moments, fashions and little details just like me, this kind of films will always be full of mistakes that makes the story less credible. I only enjoyed the soundtrack, specialy the escene in the night club when it was playing "Private Idaho " ("B-52's" - Excellent!!).

good horror film
7 July 2003
I don´t know why but everytime I watch this movie I think about that famous song "Girls just want to have fun". The only reason for me to watch this movie was because it stars the great Daphne Zuniga but I think that this is a jewel for those who love teen horror films.

The Fly II (1989)
10 of 10 !
26 June 2003
Warning: Spoilers
This is a real sequel ! I watched this movie in 1993 on a sunday night and I really enjoyed! The leading couple (Eric Stoltz and the always beautifull Daphne Zuniga) is very atractive. I love the twist in the end cause I thought that the fly would die just like the first part of this movie. Of course I have a copy of this film that I keep very carefully. I must say that the bad comments right here don´t bother me because I know that the people are very jelous with the first part of The Fly and I don´t blame them. But this film is a jewell if you compare it with the trash that is made in this days.

Teenagers´piece of art
19 June 2003
I must say that the movies of John Cusack are not my favorites but he had a very good start in this piece of art of 1985 called "THE SURE THING" . This is certainly the best romantic film that I have ever seen in my 23 years living in this world. The caracters are adorable and charming.everything starts when Gib(John Cusack) tries to get the atention(and something else )from the uptight Alison( Daphne Zuniga who I´ll always admire for doing this sweet role and for being the Princess Vespa in Mel Brooks´"Spaceballs" althought her best role untill today was in the independent film of 1997 "Stand Ins " when she played Greta Garbo´s stand in). In " The Sure Thing " the most important thing is how they get to know each other through many experiences that makes them bring out from inside the best of them and then comes love.

Vision Quest (1985)
I´m crazy for this movie !
3 June 2003
The first time I watched this film I was ill in bed so I finally fell sleep. The day after I was very angry because I really wanted to see this movie and also I wanted to hear Madonna singing crazy for you.One year after I could watch this film with no problems at all. I just fell in love with Matthew Modine in his role of Louden Swain and , althought her appearance was very small, Daphne Zuniga was so funny in the role of a student that thinks that everything that Louden does is wonderfull.

Stone Pillow (1985 TV Movie)
ARE YOU CRAZY?!
10 April 2003
WHAT?! ARE YOU CRAZY?! How can you say the casting of Daphne Zuniga was a mistake?!Her role of Carrie Lang who learned all about the real life in the streets is so lovely and sometimes so funny that really gets to my heart! I love the job of Daphne Zuniga in this movie. I found her interesting in the movie "THE SURE THING" but when I saw "STONE PILLOW" I became her fan.
