IT almost 1000 weeks i and don't know what more to write abt this epic which is still lingering in my memories.....

We love this movie cause we learnt to love from srk ..

We learnt to dream with kajol..

We learnt perseverance and patience in testing times..

We learnt to take life lightly laugh it out and accept that its OK to make mistakes , someday u will redeem yourself too and be forgiven..As srk would say "bade bade deshon mein choti choti baatein hoti rehti hai"....

We learnt values of our culture and importance of going to back roots even while enjoying luxury

we learnt to apologise when we hurt others

we learnt to live in love...

DDLJ is one movie which gives me another reason to cherish the past .. Don't take life seriously...love laugh celebrate Life..

Rockstar (2011)

Rocking even if not a Rock on !!!

Rockstar is an entertaining musical love-drama and could have been a cult movie for years to come with some crisp editing in the last 40 minutes..

The beauty lies in the direction as director' manages to show love blooming in scenic north India. the songs are paced/shot in a manner than is endearing and most important story moves ahead with songs which clearly is a winner....( u don't get bored of any song at all)..

Rah man music is magical and while Sada HQ, Jo Bi main and Katya are chart busters, the real gem fr me was Au ho (reminiscence of Dill Se another rah man movie of 98..)..Irshad ' lyrics gives life to the songs and Mohit chauhan ' voice from the heart is a treat. Under rah man garb, irshad ' words and mo hit' voice, only thing left for imtiaz was the soul and ranbir enlivens rock-star in style...

Nargis does a good job in the 1st half but while audience could relate to her joys, her mischief, her love in the 1st half some cant empathize with her pain in the 2nd half which is where the last 40 min disconnects a bit. (which is why its closer to 8 and not a 9 the rating)

what made rock on an epic was the pace which was consistent and the end which was fulfilling..nevertheless this movie is for all music and ranbir fans..an Indian treat to be enjoyed ..

Ra.One (2011)

Crap..... G.1 RA.won .. every.1

Will keep it crisp -

Ra.1 is a supposed to be a super hero movie also delving into father son relationship boasting of some terrific side effects that ends up being a noisy affair and falls flat on its face.

what works -

1. Occasionally Brilliant VFX and sci - fi elements of the game 2. Chammak challo - dildaara are some hummable songs 3. Thrilling car chases and fun video game derived action moments

What doest -

1. Srk ' acting ...it seems he still cannot get out of My name is khan autistic hangover as mumbling shekhar... and as g.1 he is bearable till we see him being an either emotional or dancing robot-man

2. Poor screenplay - Srk is arguably India' best/leading actor but he is a director' man..Anubhav sinha doesn't manage to do what ashutosh did fr swades..Getting the best out of him

3. Slapstick comedy and scratchy dialogues

Hv given it 3 only some unseen effects in any Indian movie (though most stunts hav been dun by hiring t best from abroad ) so ntg Indian abt it..

It eventually ends up like a dish from t movie - curd (indian heart) mixed with spaghetti (foreign sci -fi effects) half baked and lackadaisical attempting to show stunts from a 46 year old leading actor.

Like i heard it somewhere after the premiere - Its a super hero with a heart --sadly for us the soul is missing..
