Awake (2007)
Potential overwhelmed by stupidity
Though the concept seemed interesting at first, I came to realize that this movie was not made for people with intelligent higher than that of a fourteen year old's. The holes in the plot were too big to ignore, the acting was terrible and the lines in the script laughable to say the least. I mean they can't be serious if they want us to believe that a billionaire would prefer to have his heart surgery performed by a mediocre heart surgeon in a public hospital, lacking in both equipment and staff instead of having the best surgeon there is, just because he knew the doctor for a year or so and thought of him as a friend. Also, no doctor in the world would agree to kill a patient while having 4 malpractice suits against him even if he could gain money out of it. Also, the only thing that having the protagonist awake during the surgery serves (except for the title), is in order to spend time in some flashbacks and make the movie a little longer since they didn't have anything better to show us.And that's because even if he wasn't awake during the surgery the ending would still be the same... Finally, in the end the only thing that matters according to the surgeon is that now Cley is awake and not of course that he lived! This might be one of the worst ending lines I've ever heard! And these are just some of the many flaws this movie has.Though it is not one of the worst movies I've ever seen, I wouldn't even consider watching it again. So, all facts considered, I believe that the best thing about this movie is that it only lasted 84 minutes
