Hop (2011)
Best new family film I've seen in a looong time
I rarely go to the movies, and when I do, it's hardly ever for a cartoon. It seems like whoever comes up with these films decided that kids aren't smart enough to know whether or not something is good enough entertainment. And so, the writers and actors hardly even try.
Now that my little rant is over, I'd like to emphasize that "Hop" is NOT ONE OF THOSE FILMS! I'm an adult (who didn't go to see this movie with a child, by the way) and it had me captivated the whole time. Most family movies that I would consider "good" have their UGH! moments, but I didn't get that from "HOP". It was utterly cute, but not lame. So, whether you're a child or an adult, I'd totally recommend this movie.
Outsourced (2010)
Finally, NBC is doing a good comedy...
Unlike Community and 30 Rock, which are sometimes funny, but pretty crude (in a bad way), Outsourced is managing to be funny without stooping to the level of smut in the aforementioned shows.
Honestly, I don't see why so many people are offended by this show. I'm usually more sensitive to that kind of thing, and I think their just poking fun at the way Americans view other cultures, not mocking the cultures themselves.
I'm terrified that NBC is going to cancel it before it really gets going. That'd really be a shame, though; it's a lot of fun. One of the only sitcoms I actually watch!
