Philadelphia (1993)
Hmmm...
I've been scanning through the comments, and there's only one thing I really wanna point out: everyone's saying this movie is outdated and that it portrays AIDS as a disease that only gay men seem to get. Don't forget this was made in 1993, just years after HIV and AIDS was discovered and they didn't know much about it. For 1993, this movie seems very true to form, and believe it or not, there are some very accepting families out there who would accept their children/siblings/relatives if they were gay. Great film, love Hanks and Washington. Still sends a message, even today.
Olive Juice (2001)
Cute movie
I enjoyed this movie. I got it on DVD as a Christmas present (hey, I asked for it), and watched it, and thought it was very adorable. I did notice the statement at the beginning of the film that the rest of you seemed to have missed where it said that the film was almost lost in a computer crash and had to be restored... yeah, maybe that's an explanation for the "crappy editing"? Yeah, whatever. I thought this movie was absolutely great, very cute. Leighanne Littrell is a wonderful actress, and I would love to see her on the big screen someday. To everyone who said this was bad, why don't you quit looking for some deep, intense meaning in every damn movie you see, and maybe just sit back and relax and enjoy a movie that is meant to be enjoyed, not overly analyzed. Great job to the actors and actresses that took part in "Olive Juice". My only pet peeve is that they really shouldn't have devoted so much cover to Brian Littrell and AJ McLean's cameos. Yeah, they're in it, yeah, that sold more copies, but it was just tacky (Backstreet Boys fan I am, yes, but still...)
