Moonhaven (2022)
Decent show but...
Another unsatisfying cliffhanger that we have to wait a year for. At least there will be a season 2.
And to all the reviewers citing facts about the moon's environment like temperature and gravity, then saying the show conveniently ignores it-uh, this is science FICTION and fantasy people and it's set 100 years in the future. The assumption here is the technology had developed enough to overcome obstacles like this, and then some-you know like SCI-FI being all abou that kinda of stuff. Get a grip!
Night Sky (2022)
Too Many Questions, Not enough Answers
This series reminds me of another series, Lost. Too much time spent on character development, not enough on plot development. There should be more balance between the two, imo. Season 2 hasn't even been confirmed yet and how much would it suck if we are stuck with season 1?! But given the pacing and drib drab dribble of storyline, we may not even find out that much more even if there is a season 2. Really pisses me off.
Reacher (2022)
Trite plot, bad acting
Cover of TV Guide calls this series a blockbuster so people apparently like it, but damn, I don't get it. They couldn't have found a poorer actor than Alan Ritchson. Wooden. Period. Most of the other actors are better, but not by much. The writers didn't give 'em much to work with either. Glad I can exit this mess.
The Tomorrow War (2021)
Sappy, formulaic, predictable
I love Chris Pratt, but damn, I wish he'd pick better projects. This reminds me of Passengers, which had all the earmarks of a holiday blockbuster and failed miserably.
StartUp (2016)
Started "Up" but headed down
I'm going to finish watching this series because there is enough to keep me interested, but there are sooo many weaknesses in the overall story, like absurd plot points and ridiculous character actions which don't consider obvious consequences, making them seem outright stupid and naive, while at the same time trying to portray them as intelligent, innovative and creative. The inconsistencies are maddening. How can the producers, directors and writers not see that? This show could have been so much better.
A Fall from Grace (2020)
This? Is a weak-ass movie
I watched it because Whoopi Goldberg talked it up on The View, probably because Tyler Perry was there. But man, this movie is just plain bad. Producing, writing, directing, acting-all of it, but especially the plot. As for the so-called twist, I saw it coming from a mile away.
I haven't seen much by Tyler Perry, but if this is an example, he REALLY needs to up his game. Very disappointing.
