90 minutes of who we may have been.
25 February 2023
At 90 minutes, I believe this was just right to explore the movie concept.

Who are we, who were we, and who can we become.

It's gentle, it meanders in a few spots.

Colin Farrell carries the brunt of this movie.

In an effort to find some form of solace, and possible reparation for a malfunctioned family companion, he endeavours to explore its past.

Finding out along the way, some lost memories of the bot.

In order to appease his child and somewhat distanced, high flying wife, he tries to piece together the companion's past, how it ended in their circle.

Does it work? Overall? Yes.

Don't expect a massive revelation in the end.

That's not what this film is about. It's the journey of discovery.

Of what we can do in the present, to make our future feel complete.

Good, if not great performances from all.

Resident Evil...in name only.

This is a mess. Lance Reddick...what have you become involved in?

Some nonsensical plot lines.

Two bratty main characters that you don't really care about.

A loose plot line about the T virus, Joy, and Albert Wesker (albeit some cloning being involved).

8 episodes, yet seemed like 24...too much hopping about timelines, and superfluous drivel to be entertaining.

As usual, I like to see things to their conclusion, so bit the bullet, hunkered down, and loaded up the snacks... Not at all worth it.

If you want something better...watch Soldiers or Zombies...(SOZ: Soldados o Zombies)...not great...but a lot better than this.

What is the problem?
4 June 2022
A warts and all documentary.

2 brothers, one ideal...fulfilled or not.

This is not the mockumentary that everyone believes it to be.

So what, they're not Shakespeare(s).

Were they talented, of course they were.

Were they the best band in the world? Watch it and decide.

Were they naive, maybe?

This is actually a great insight into how music/bands perceived themselves to be.

As an introduction to 80s music at its "highpoint", and the vagaries of re-establishing themselves as a historical "phenomena", however fleeting...it scores, and leaves an indelible mark.

There are a few, maybe more, bits where they leave themselves looking a bit foolish...but that's editing for you...was the intention to make them look foolish...it didn't come across that way, too much - despite the attempt.

If you're living for the 80s, give it a watch. Sentimental in parts, especially the loss of parents and siblings.

I don't know how their tour went, but it looked like they did well.

Watch it, it's only 90 minutes long, and you decide if they were numpties or not.

They seem to be living better than most.

Oh, wait...... Dreadful waste of money, scriptwriters, actors, scenery, every viewers time.... You get the gist?

In my best 'Points of View' voice... Why? Oh, why, oh why!

If you liked Wu Assassin on Netflix...look away now.

The series aired on Netflix and I would have expected to see a season 2 appear. But "covid" and all that jazz happened (I presume?).

We have this fairly slick production that seemed to morph into a game of "Just Dance".

Our heroes trade blow for blow with multiple opponents, with each bad guy seemingly waiting their turn...out of courtesy?... to wade in for the choreography to continue.

The plot was as thin as rice paper...and so obviously linear, that it became a 3 part watch... everyday life was much more compelling in as much that a 2 minute cup of coffee stretched into 3 days before coming back to the final 30 minutes or so.

Again..."Just Dance" reappeared for the "Boss Level" finale.

I certainly wouldn't recommend this as a must watch follow up to the series.

Not Good
5 March 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Very slow. Very boring. Very forgettable.

Miss Moretz seems to be involved in a lot of dross. The most exciting part, a motorcycle "escape" scene...with poor CGI involving drones. I've seen a lot worse....but I have seen A LOT BETTER.

Netflix filler material....

So bad.

A once good if not great program, now suffering from totally incredulous plots.

Clichéd bull plop.

I don't know why I persist in watching this drivel.

The most recent plot lines have just gone overboard in their unbelievably ridiculous events.

I am glad it is being axed.

So bad, it's just bad.

I would rather watch Power Rangers. The action scenes are so badly choreographed, telegraphed, and video graphed... The Guyver, mixed with Tron, mixed with a poor man's (cheating) Predator... As Arnie may once have said... "I'll NOT be back"

Series 4 - Tripe
14 April 2021
Series 1 to 3 decent drama.

Series 4 is woeful.

Not a criticism of the acting as such, but the storyline and 'antics' of the characters is just too unbelievably bad to call this anything but poor.

Situation is unbelievable, not involving the police at the earliest opportunity is ridiculous.

A band of broke teenager/twenty somethings follow the thief of their lottery ticket to Monaco, on borrowed money....'hilarious antics' do not ensue...

Oh Dear, what a load of bull semen.

How did this get a green light. The plot...well there wasn't one, it was just a whole lot of holes.

Storyline written by a 3 year old, using crayons... Easy pay check for all involved, totally unconvincing performances (wooden) for a totally nonsensical story.

Why? WHY?
