It's just not a great film
16 December 2019
As important as the topic; as iconic as RBG may be, I wished this film to be great. Sadly it just wasn't. Too many Hollywood cliches; too many cheesy moments. It is entertaining as the acting is good and the story is captivating. So watch it! But expect to cringe every now and then during dialogues.

The turning point of the Show
22 September 2018
Usually people say about a new show: "Watch the first three episodes. If you don't like it, don't continue." If I did that with BoJack Horseman, I would have missed what is now my favourite show - because with BoJack Horseman, you need to watch the fourth episode until the show reveals its full potential. Until the third episode, BoJack Horseman is an interesting and fresh approach to a comedy show. Nothing more, nothing less. But "Zoës and Zeldas" hit me with a hammer on the head. Actually, the ending made me cry and sit almost paralysed in front of my screen. The courage of the writers letting a comedy show's protagonist do what is revealed at the end of the episode is dark, heartbreaking and gives you a glimpse what you can expect from this show in the following episodes.

The title could also be: The Most Boring Rock Band of All Times
26 March 2015
If I am supposed to learn one thing from Forever and a Day, then it must be that everybody loves the Scorpions and above all the Scorpions love themselves the most.

In this documentary all the band's milestones are predictably shown one after another. It is like the set list of a band on which concert you already know what hits they are going to play. That results in a complete lack of tension and revelations about the band. There is no criticism or investigative documentation. And when there is the slightest hint of a mistake or flaw it is immediately annulled by a superlative. This apparently mostly satisfies the Scorpions and their friends who glorify themselves in over a 100 Minutes of interviews and footage of the bands best moments. And that is as dull as it sounds.

I believe, Forever and a Day is only enjoyable if you are a non-critical hardcore fan or a member of this band.
