Sanctum (2011)
The beginning of the end of good movies
Terrible, some of the worst acting and dialogue i have ever seen. I hope that we haven't entered a phase in the movie industry where crap movies like this and Avatar (yeah, it really did suck, watch it a second time and see how it holds up) become box office hits purely because they have "3D" and "James Cameron" attached to them. 3D is great, but not when it comes at the expense of everything else we look for in a movie, things like good acting, good casting, good writing etc etc. I walked out of avatar because of the dumbed down horrible clichéd dialogue (I know it was written for average Joe America so I won't be overly critical because I know the American audiences is more into pretty colours than actually thinking) and I walked out of this film. Should of waited a few years James instead of releasing this tripe and hoping because it has "From the Director of Avatar!" written all over it that it can ride the coat tales of said movie. Garbage. 1/10 only because I can't do 0.5/10
Top Gear USA (2008)
Looking out my window at my motionless car was a more exiciting automotive experience.
I wasn't surprised that i was disappointed, but i was surprised at how awful the hosts are, Foust is the only one that deserves to be anywhere near this show, at least In TG UK, the guys are all car nuts, not some washed up comedians. This reminded me of a bunch of kids who stole their dads viper and only know stats about the car through the sales brochure. Not only was the hosting pretty terrible, the Lambo caparison at the end was the most boring, monotonous and uncreative thing I've ever seen on TG. TG UK could have made a comparison test with 3 Toyota Corollas far more existing and witty. The Brits just do some things better like tea, accents and Top Gear, I'll pass on the rest of the season and wait till January for the real Top Gear to come back.
