A Welcome Return to Litchfield
17 June 2016
Bombastically hilarious is what I would describe the first acting minutes of Season 4. Charismatic characters and witty dialogue help keep us refreshed to what was left off on this show. However, the series also lay some important ground work for future events, and right off the bat, albeit its comedic first note, Season 4 will definitely be the most darkest Season of this series yet.

While the episode does return with our beloved inmates, new faces also arise to bring more trouble to the already crippled Prison of Litchfield. Hopefully dynamic interactions between these characters and the ones we have come to know will occur later on.

However some parts of the episode does stumble to drawn out scenes, but overall a solid starting push in the right direction for Season 4 in recovery from the mediocre Season 3. Hopefully it remains consistent throughout.

A Complex and Thorough Return to Form for Beyonce Signalling a Positively New Turn in her Career.
14 May 2016
After her raunchy and overtly explicit self-titled visual album released in 2013, Beyonce returns with a more toned down, yet her most empowering work of art to date. The Lemonade visual features complex themes of infidelity that is prevalent throughout the film as viewers are taken through a scorn woman's journey from Intuition to Anger all of which are different stages of emotion a woman goes through when they are cheated on.

The cinematography varies throughout the film but remains to be consistent to the overall experience of the film. Asides from the film, Beyonce's music is both personal and raw as she experiments with different genres of music such as R&B, rock, reggae and even country. Despite the wildly different genres of music Beyonce plays with, much like the cinematography, it all mends together well to produce the over arching story that she intends the viewers to experience.

Beyonce's Lemonade is her best work to date.

American Horror Story: She Gets Revenge (2015)

The Most Satisfying Episode Yet
17 December 2015
From the very first episode, this show set up a season that would be filled with brutality, sex and an interesting, and unpredictable premise. However from that spark of a first episode came along a series of events, much like a domino effect, that made this season so boring and dull that it felt like a chore to watch, that spark that made me invested in this season was nothing but a distant memory.

However this episode redeemed that spark as it fulfilled a satisfying turn for the plot and each of its characters.

Performances from this episode were also top-notch especially from Denis O Hare, Kathy Bates and surprisingly Lady Gaga as doubts from the start of the season were replaced with comfort knowing that she perfectly fits the role of the Countess.

This episode was fun and refreshing and a much, much long awaited improvement from the previous dull episodes.

I did not score a perfect score however as it did struggle with finding a balance of tone throughout the episode as it juggled between horror, romance and at times, comedy.

However despite that this episode was well worth a watch. So even if you are at the brink of wanting to quit this season, simply watch this episode, then decide afterward. Because as for me, I will not be checking out of Hotel Cortez just yet.

You Will Not Be Able To Breathe for a Whole Hour!
19 November 2015
Throughout the season many questions have been accumulated from both the characters in the show and the viewers. This episode answers most of those questions, but expect for more questions to arise at the end. The numerous twists that occur throughout the episode will leave you breathless and this is what makes this episode incredible and literally breathtaking as every second goes by more revelations are uncovered.

It is also worth commending that the actors/actresses, especially Viola Davis performed with excellence in this episode, accompanied by numerous chilling soundtracks that build great tension and atmosphere really helps make this episode one of the best, if not the best out of the whole series.

Go into this episode knowing that you will come out of it both satisfied yet wanting more. Either way its one hell of a ride.

Another Earth My Crazy Review
28 October 2012
Warning: Spoilers
Another Earth Review What do you get if you mix up dramatic cliques, blind Indian janitors who give out inspirational quotes and an earth that duplicates ours? You would get more or less Another Earth. Story: 8/10 The storyline is basically a girl named Rhoda crashes onto another car containing a father a mother and a small child, unfortunately only the father and Rhoda survived later to be known as John. Simultaneously the car crash happened when the second Earth or Earth II first appeared baffling scientists. What they realize is that the inhabitable planet is actually a duplicate of ours meaning that if we travelled there we would find ourselves our duplicate selves. But you might be interested like "OOH! What a great concept for a movie!" Hold on before saying that, this movie is actually a romantic / thriller. Crazy right? But the idea for a romance in a Sci-Fi film is not actually that bad. The story was interesting and gripping and surprisingly had a shocking ending which I actually quite enjoyed. Now I would already recommend you this film just because of the amazing ending, it was really good; it led you to multiple conclusions on what actually happens before the movie cuts into the credits. Characters 6/10 I gave the Characters quite a low score because it had a really small cast to be honest. You had Rhoda and John also the blind Indian as the only main characters; the others did nothing to help the story develop, but the two main characters Rhoda and John can already bring the movie up to its feet and walk until the end, if you understand what I mean. I think that Brit Marling acting as Rhoda was quite excellent as well as William Mapother as John but the two characters do not actually quite make a spark as a love couple and ends up like a weird awkward love story. Special effects and Crew 4/10 The special effects were quite excellent if you ask me although the only special effect they used was the one which they created the Earth II in the sky which was amazing. But I gave it a low four because of the stupid camera-man. It is like the Hunger Games again everybody! The camera-man tends to have a mild seizure while filming because even the calmest scenes the camera man jolts the camera around. Some people think it creates a mysterious and creepy vibe; others like me are just annoyed from it. Overall 7/10 This film had a great story line with an amazing ending, but the movie ruins it because of the loving couple not really suited for each other as well as the camera-man shaking the camera around like a wild ape. Note: I am quite a person with logic and I asked myself, why were there no apocalyptic issues when the Earth II was close by?

Air: A Soothing Anime
21 June 2012
Warning: Spoilers
Anime Review: Air: Please don't worry no spoilers contained.

Synopsis: Yukito Kunisaki is on a journey, seeking a girl with wings who flies in the sky, as mentioned in a childhood tale. During this journey, he settles down in a small town, trying to make some money. There, he meets a strange girl named Misuzu. Misuzu quickly makes Yukito her friend and invites him to stay with her. Yukito decides to stay in the small town, and continue searching for the winged girl his mother had searched for in her life.

Story: 7/10

Air has a complicated story, not too complicated unlike inception, but just more complicated than an average chick flick anime. It starts off with a puppet traveler Yukito looking for a winged girl who his mother has been looking for in her whole life. He meets a girl named Misuzu and he decided to live with her for a while. He then meets a few girls in the village. For the first 5-7 episodes it will be the story about these girls, about their life and how they are all connected to the winged girl Yukito is looking for. From 8 and 9th episode it is the story of the winged girl and who she was. The last few episodes from 10-12 is the story of Misuzu and how she bonds with presumably her mother but actually her aunt who just adopted her. Episode 13 is the highlights of the series.

Emotionality: 9/10

In Air I will guarantee that you will cry. It is one of the most powerful anime series I have ever seen. Cried probably more than Elfen Lied. I cried more because other than the winged girl part this anime is as realistic as the real world. You connect to this anime very deeply and the ending is one of the most realistic endings you can find in an anime. There is a minor cliff hanger which shows two familiar kids from another anime series called Clannad ( About to watch after this.). Crying is a normal thing that happens to you in this anime especially the final episode.

Animation: 9 1/2 out of 10

The animation was so detailed from the waves of the ocean to every strand of hair. This anime makes you feel soothed and relaxed because mostly in the anime there are a series of beautiful sunsets and amazing cloud formations and the breeze you can almost feel it. Simply amazing, the colours are bright and cheerful which suites this anime perfectly. The problem is that they're eyes are too big but I don't have a bother for that.

Sound / Music: 8/10

My favourite sound from Air is Natsukage it is a soothing relaxing emotional piano performance my favourite piano performance ever! The music in the background are good and does suit all the scenes especially in the final episode. To me the downside was the intro. The intro was catchy but it lacked on catchiness and often makes me sick listening to the song but the intro animations are really good. The voice actors did very well with the voicing and I loved it.

Overall: 8/10

I give this anime an 8 especially because of the emotional parts. If you want to find a good emotional anime I do recommend Air. It is a wonderful, relaxing yet emotionally satisfying anime.

Easy A Deserves An A+
26 January 2012
Warning: Spoilers
Easy A was a very interesting comedy involving a teenage girl who created a lie which caused a huge life changing effect on her.I truly loved this movie with such a great storyline there was not an uninteresting bit of the movie. It was very comedic and I enjoyed it a lot. It's one of those movies were you want to watch it over and over again, for me I watched the movie twice and watched the audio commentary of Will Gluck and Emma Stone once, and its also worth watching because you can listen to what they say and reveal some secret's to the movie.

Overall I enjoyed this movie since I am a teen and it is targeted for teens but I think it might be interesting for adults alike.

Highly Recommended 9/10
