Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City (2021)
WHAT ?
Aside from the abysmal casting, the director knows squat about the RE franchise. Milla Jovovich's movies are way better compared to this accident AND those movies aren't even accurate at all. Calling this the most faithful adaptation was biting more than the director could chew, which based on his previews work, he wasn't up for the task.
Beckett (2021)
The ending...
I liked the movie, I was going to give it an 8 UNTIL Beckett jumped from 4 stories down ON TOP of the car he was chasing on foot, what timing! I guess he channeled his father Denzel Washington in that last bit.
That particular scene didn't sit right in my opinion, it's also an action movie of course, with guns and non stop chasing, but pulling off that kind of feat, with the "realistic" pacing it had, was kind of over the top. Pun intended.
From 8 stars down to 4. Minus 4 stars for each floor.
The Walking Dead: World Beyond (2020)
SLOOOOWW Start
I actually couldn't get past the first 30 minutes of EP1. With that, I knew the rest was bad and it shows. Horrible dialogue, horrible acting, very very VERY SLOW start, you are supposed to hook in the audience on the first episode, not boring people to death. The Boring Dead.
Love and Monsters (2020)
So much better than expected!
I didn't watch the trailer and went in with no idea of what it was about and ended up being a great adventurous and fun movie. I hope they do a second movie and explore more about the world and creatures.
Upgrade (2018)
I went in with low expectations
But the movie ROCKED. Didn't expect to be this good, great acting, amazing ending. Hope there's a 2nd part.
Traffik (2018)
Not worth the time
Dumb decisions galore, predictable characters. Started ok, ended up in disaster. 2 stars for Paula Patton's bikini scenes.
Accident (2017)
An accident of a movie for sure
This movie should have been called train wreck instead. Nonsensical!
Dangerous Lies (2020)
Uuuuuh....ok
I kind got hooked up at the start, it was an interesting idea, then plot holes started showing, then got ridiculous when EVERYBODY started dying in that house. My 2 stars was for Jamie Chung.
Tall Girl (2019)
Idiotic
I know this is a movie for kids, at least that's what I think it was written for based on the idiotic premise, but still it is unrealistic.
The I-Land (2019)
Stupid character development
It had potential, but it fell flat when they started developing each character, ALL are stupid and superficial, no reasoning behind their actions. Big fail from Netflix. Keep doing series like this and you'll loose subscribers to their competition, Netflix.
The Drowning (2016)
Waste of time
I never write reviews but I had to after watching this movie. All the characters have bad judgement and stupid motivations that does not go anywhere. Everyone is worried about this supposedly intelligent and worth saving kid but the guy is bland and guilty!!!. A lot of twists and turns for nothing, this movie has more plot holes than a swiss cheese. The ending was stupid, no reasoning at all.
