If you are a Stargate fan DO NOT WATCH THIS DRIVEL. It in no way follows SG canon and both the writing and acting are terrible. For the love of anything holy avoid it at all costs. I really wish you could give a negative star rating.

Ride with Norman Reedus (2016– )

Sound is terrible

I really wanted to watch this series as I love bikes and like Norman Reedus but I had to turn it off half way through episode 1, the music is so loud I couldn't hear a word anyone said, it's ridiculous. It's a real shame as the show looks great. I tried watching on Amazon so not sure if it's anything to do with them or the original editing but I found it unwatchable.

What boat?

Having looked forward to this series with great anticipation I have to say I'm disappointed. It's no longer about 'The Boat' it's more of a showcase for the worst of the Germans in WW2. Although what is portrayed happened in France and occupied countries it seems the writers condensed all the evil into a small area. By splitting between espionage and resistance on land and the occasional snapshot of a submarine it has removed the purpose of the original concept, Das Boot was about a U-boat and her crew, the struggles and fun they had through their mission but the little time spent on the boat in this series was more about treachery and violence and seemed like an aside to the land story. Of course it had to differ from the original to make it fresh and relevant but they could have done that just as well by concentrating on the boat and her crew rather than a contrived story about the resistance. I look forward to season 2 but hope it gives more screen time to the sea combat aspect and how the crew handle it and less towards gratuitous rape, nudity and detective stories.

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina (2018–2020)

Entertaining

Pilot slow to get going but picks up well, much darker than the show it's rebooted from and at times much more mature orientated. Writing this review after the 2nd episode I can say it's worth sticking with as it is eminently watchable.
