Ghost Rider (2007)
L.a.M.E
Cage just sucks. Whoever was in charge of this one was bored, and the CGI is lackluster. It really looks just thrown together. The story is terrible, and the villains are terrible. I guess most of the comic book movies have sucked these days. Gay superman sucked, Spiderman was decent, Hulk was sad, XMen was pretty decent. What the hell is this 10 lines of text requirement all about. The movie sucks.. I don't need 10 lines to say that, or pass along my opinion to other would-be viewers. Ghostrider is worth a download on P2P, but it's not worth even 5.99 in the bargain bin, which is where it will end up. For those who liked it I really have to question what gets you going. The comics are cool, but this movie is lame. Thumbs Down 4/10.
In the Bedroom (2001)
An amazing film hands down!
This film is powerful, and explores a facet of life many will hopefully never have to face.
The story, characters, and locations are perfect. Tom Wilkinson is amazing in this film, and he and his wife react in a very believable manner.
Those who don't "get" this film have probably never been involved in a relationship where two people are torn between a decision. Either that, or they have never been involved in a predicament that the legal system is supposed to take care of, but doesn't because of some outside force manipulating it.
Having no luck with the pathetic legal system, they are forced to take care of it themselves where money, power, and influence have ZERO effect on the outcome.
Definitely not a film for whiny liberals or religious zealots.
Ski School (1991)
To Be The Best, You Must Lose Your Mind!
One of my favorite movies of ALL TIME. I remember being a teenager wanting to get into my 20's and party at the slopes! Now I'm 30 wishing I was in my 20's and I never did make it to the slopes! But I definitely had my "ski school" days. Me and my friends used to tune this in on HBO late at night and get drunk as skunks pretending we were there. This movie is just one of those classics that will never leave my shelf.
I've got it on VHS, and have been waiting for the DVD for a LONG time now, and if I have to I'll make it into a DVD myself! My favorite quote of all time is from this movie: Dave in goofy ski helmet: "To be the best, you MUST LOST YOUR MIND!" The dude posting the other quotes were great too! I think another favorite part was when the ski director goes: "Anybody got a beer?!" and then somebody throws an empty one at him. lol! I thought the soundtrack was excellent as well. Nostalgia is a beautiful thing! So cheers to all fellow Ski School fans.. it's time to PARTAY!
