Last Knights (2015)

Very very good! Seriously.

As a a Medievalish atmosphere action/adventure film, it must be a 10/10 with its gorgeous actors/actresses and its marvelous visual entertainment.

Screenplay is solid too.

I seriously think that those single-star critics and highly negative reviews are intentional, and of course malicious. Therefore, it must be considered that those negative reviews are "against the messages" hidden in the film. I believe that there are very important messages "within" this film, and some of them are not even hidden, but quite obvious. I don't want to speculate too much, but this film, as far as I see, is telling the story of an existing war of the 21st Century on Earth.

I recommend everyone watch this film, not just once, but 3-5 times.

(Why not 10/10 then? Well… Just "personalization".)

On the Way to School (2008)

Best Turkish documentary ever

I can hardly keep myself not to say "best Turkish FILM ever"... This is a graphically decent film and there's almost no artificial element in it. But above all, due to its direct and minimal approach, the film is making the very core of the South-Eastern Anatolia problem visible, namely "lack of communication". Eastern and Western parts of the country don't know their native languages and they simply cannot communicate. (Film is also making clear which side oblige to learn the other's language.) Another very important point about the documentary in my opinion is its being a test film for the audience. Because it is hard to believe that any "human being" has difficulty to enter in this film and feel belong with while watching it, since childhood is a universal drama in itself, and everyone once was a child himself/herself.
