The Law and Jake Wade (1958)
reviewer wrong
To say that Robert Taylor did not like Henry De Silva because he was taller is one of the most ridiculous things I have ever heard. Taylor was all CLASS and DeSilva had a common side to him and that is why. I worked on the whole film., I saw it.
Stormy, the Thoroughbred (1954)
I have a question
The way this movie was presented makes one think it is a true story as the players are real life. However, it is a far cry from the truth. His own story was remarkable - why distort it? Carl Crawford bought the young horse in Texas (he was double registered as a Thoroughbred and also as a Quarter Horse) and was the sole trainer. He was the only stallion ever allowed to play in the Internationals on Long Island. There was not one word of mention of Carl Crawford. Bob Skene has nothing to do with the training. Woody D (Stormy) was a fully finished (trained) horse the first time Bob Skene ever set foot on him.
Interrupted Melody (1955)
Bigger than life experience
I was fortunate enough to be chosen as the stunt double for Eleanor Parker in this extraordinary film. I was in awe of her performance and cannot say how much I enjoyed working with her for several of her films. I thought the script was marvelous and did win an award I believe. Eleanor Parker is the true lady she portrayed in this once in a lifetime film. I never tire of seeing it - over and over again.
