Dodger (2022)
Great for kids
I will keep it short as there is so much hate here.
Just like the 2001 Australian iteration (Escape of the Artful Dodger), this is aimed at kids, so the acting and comedy style is designed to target that audience.
If you can accept it for what it is, then it is enjoyable. Not everything needs to be serious and on point aimed at adults.
Growing Belushi (2020)
Kings of Kush is better
I suggest go check out Kings of Kush instead.
This way clearly scripted and poorly made. Not sure what the purpose of this was other then try to promote the farm and cheap humor. I guess COVID has created a shortage of things people can film lol.
Home Team (2022)
Good Sports Movie
I don't normally write reviews, however here I thought I had to because too many people are being negative with their scoring.
It is a sports movie based on true events. Why are people expecting it to be a comedy? Understand what the movie is about before making stupid assumptions. How many actors have done various genres in the past? Just because some are in 98% comedy movies doesn't mean they cannot do other movies.
Now onto the movie. Solid performance for a sports movie. Would have been nice to include some more on the actual bounty gate scandal, but other than that fun watch.
Dino Hunters (2020)
Ignore the Negative Science Comments
Based on the comments, it sounds like a lot of scientists are jealous that these farmers can dig up dinosaurs on their own land and they cannot. Tall poppies syndrome?
At the end of the day is it 100% scientifically accurate? Probably not. Do I care? No, as it give a little bit of an in site into the world of bones and fossils. i.e. I didn't realise how much effort went into digging it up and restoring it to look like they do in a museum display. That was pretty interesting and something new that was learned.
Do I care if they make a buck? No i do not as at the end of the day it is their land and if they didn't dig them up they would turn to dust anyway.
Has the show made me want to buy some dinosaur fossils? absolutely, didn't even know that was a thing. What is wrong with private collectors want a tooth, a small bone or a claw? They seem to be priced reasonably well and it sounds like Museums already have more than they want.
Do I want a season 2? Absolutely as can't wait to see some more full bodies dug up and cleaned up and eventually maybe end up assembled as a display somewhere.
