This IS Horror!!
12 September 2004
This is the type of horror film the world seems to be seeing less and less of nowadays. Pure Evil, Pure Gore, Unrelentless in its delivery and damn entertaining all the way through.

A geeza catches ebola, he's immune to the effects and is just a carrier, he spreads it all over the place. thats is the basic outline of the plot. You need know no more to get the jist of it all.

This is a classy film all the way through, i love everything about it. The deaths are brutal and realistic looking. Its predictable as hell, but not even this can stop it from being a top film.

As a horror, this is almost as good as it can get. 10/10

Interesting......?
1 October 2003
Right, first off forget the Blair Witch connection, cuz if you think bout it too much it'll ruin the film for ya. Ok, you have a very valid point in saying BWP ripped it off, but Blair Witch does exceed in the scariness factor. BWP also seemed a tad more convincing. But 'nuff of that.

This is a very interesting spoof docu/film bout 4 people who go into the woods with Camcorders in search of 'The Jersey Devil'. They do this to save their failing cable TV show 'Fact or Fiction', for which in the woods they do a live broadcast via the internet/cable tv etc. 4 go in, 1 comes out. and so the plot unfolds........

This is not a horror as some may have you believe. This is just another interesting take on the 'whodunnit' genre, and pretty impressive with it it. But this film does have its flaws. I wasn't too convinced with a lot of the acting, it was pretty sub-par in parts, and the repetition of certain scenes was just annoying.

Overall, its a very original film, with forgivable (just) flaws and a rather clever ending.

'AVE IT
30 September 2003
Hype, Hype, Hype. Thats what 90% of this film's fame is about, but does it live up to it? Well, yes and no. I was expecting a lot more violence that what i saw, some of the fights were'nt that great, but you still can't not watch. That is the aspect of me saying it doesn't quite live up to its reputation, however this is a one of kind item and for that it lives up to its hype quite well. Sure, there has been other fighting videos, but this one has an edge. To put in a nutshell its like an extreme jackass movie, where you see crackheads smoking, fighting and crapping in the street. You see bums smashng hell out of property and each other, you see bitch fights, stunt bums, dead animals, and 'The Bumhunter' (a parody of Steve Irwin, who is an amazing lookalike). I highly reccomend this film, and its difficult to say why :S.

I dunno? Just check it out and roll on Bumfights 2!!!

Surprisingly, Very Good Indeed!!! *POSSIBLE SPOILERS*
10 September 2003
Warning: Spoilers
So after years of talks, script re-writes and speculation, possibly the most anticipated horror film ever is here. The 80's slasher fiends combined in one movie, it could go two ways; very good or very bad. Luckily for us it's the former :) wahey.

Before you even think about watching this, do not go into the cinema expecting top grade film-making, verging on masterpiece. For if you do, you are very naive and have probably never seen any of the previous NOES or Fridays. If you go in, like i'm sure 99% of you will, expecting a welcome return to slasher hell sporting two of the greatest in the genre, you will come out satisfied and aching for more next year. This film sticks two fingers up at 'Scream' and the horde of wannabes that followed and shouts 'This is how a slasher is done'. Gone are the annoying little twists, back are the 'Yeh i know whats gonna happen' storylines....thank phuq.

So the plot is this (yes there actually is one), Freddy and Jason are gone and forgotten. The world is free of razor fingers and machettes and life is apparently all fine and dandy. However in hell, Freddy is not such a happy chappy as he wants to kill more and more, but can't. He can't because the people of Springwood have purposely forgotten him. If nobody remembers him he can't come back in their dreams. The remaining kids who do remember him are locked up in a shrink unit with no contact to the outside world, in order to contain his legend. Freddy come up with a devious plan of sending Jason back up to earth, by posing as his mother and ordering him to go to Elm Street to kill in order to try and make people remember who Freddy is. After Jason makes his firts kill in the house Nancy fought Freddy in NOES1, a connection is made and the memories start flooding back. Things start looking up for Freddy, but good things never last as you will eventually see.

I'll give it to em, this is a good film. A plot that doesn't seem too stupid, a cast that is well typical of this genre and an atmosphere that suits this film brillianty make this a highly worthy watch.

Freddy is more evil than in any of his other films in my opinion. His charachter is and always will remain the best is the original, but this contains a excellent portrayal of him. Jason on the other hand, is a weaker charchter in this one. Ok so he was never a stand out charachter anyways, but damn it...Kane Hodder was the best.

anyways good film, great to see Freddy back and esp fighting Jason :)

Should Have Been Called Scream!!!
18 August 2003
Well ol Fred is back, and yes he still wants to kill teenagers. and no, nobody still belives he exsists, despite various sitings and numerous killings. Great eh? lol This time its set in sleep clinic, where a group of teenagers are dreaming about the same geeza (freddy). Nancy (from the original) comes back as dream expert, and uses the power possesed by the unit's patient, 'Kirsten' to combat freddy. This is a lot better than the previous film, but nowhere near as good as the first. Imaginative deaths, Freddy is kinda cool even if a tad too funny (Naff funny!). It has an impressive cast, bar one (see below)

If you are wondering why in the title i put 'Should Have Been Called Scream', its because Kirsten (Patricia Arquette) does nothing in this film but Scream. Most of her scenes contain her screaming more than she talks, and i don't know if it's just me but it gets right on my nerves. Scream, Scream, Scream. Freddy PLEASE kill her and save my eardrums.

Otherwise not a bad film at all.

Warning: Spoilers
****MIGHT CONTAIN SPOILERS*** Not Major Tho, you have been warned

OK so this ain;t the type of film ii'd usually watch or even think about watching to be honest. But i woke up hungover one weekday afternoon and what be on Sky Movies but this film. Ok Admitedly i missed the first five minutes, but i doubt there was any major plot loss there. Its about a off the rails gril who gets sent away with her Grandfather that she never really bothers with too much. They head out out into the desert to go check something (thats the Grandfathers job) and on the way whilst stopping at a petrol station, a illegal immigrant hops in the back of his van. When they reach the destination something happens and the girl and the immigrant get stranded in the desert together, and have only thier instincts to survive on. Overall not a bad film, just not that great, i enjoyed it, ye thought it was awful at the same time. ARRRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHHHH WHAT TO SAY? Don't hire it, just catch it on TV if its ever on.

um 4/10 no 6/10 ummmmmmmm.....maybe 7/10

TAKE YA PICK :S Sorry

DULL
4 August 2003
The first NOES was a classic film and a milestone in the horror Genre. NOES 2: Freddys Revenge is neither. Stupidly set 5 years after Nancy's encounter with the dream demon (where time appears to have stood still in elm street), it follows the life of Jesse who with his family has just moved into the old house which Nancy witnessed her mother die in. Freddy uses Jesse to kill for him.....oh PHUQ it this film doesn't really deserve explaining. Skip it, unless you are a hardcore freddy fan. The cast are forgettable and dull, the acting is lifeless compared to the first and the scene where Jesse is forced to tidy his room instead of going swimming round his girlfriend Lisa's house examplifies how dire the 80's actually were. I mean the music, the shades, the cap the embarrassing dancing....please. That is not a nessecery thing for me to say, i just had to vent that anger cuz that scene is the lowest point the NOES series and probably the only thing worth talking about in this film. i'll give one good pointer 'bout this film, Freddy is Evil. More evil looking and sounding than in any other film, oh and the first scene on the bus is pretty cool too. 'Freddys Revenge'should be taken out on the production team for this film!
