a good movie. people are just being stupid about it.
30 May 2006
okay. I've loved the book from the beginning. I thought the movie would be great. I've heard all of these reviews about it, about how horrible it is and such, and while I doubted it could possibly be worse than Master of Disguise (0 out of 5 stars? yeah right!) I didn't say anything because I hadn't seen it. I have now seen it and can HONESTLY say that it does NOT in ANY way deserve such bad reviews in my opinion. sure, it's not perfect; is any movie? and yes in some parts it does seem slightly jumbled together and very fast. but it's still entertaining. what I don't understand is why on earth people who hate the book (and i don't mean just the plot, I just mean the book in general) could possibly think that they have the right to go see it and tell people how bad it is! o_O it's just common sense. don't go see a movie that you know you won't like. anyway, that aside, the movie is good, it is suspenseful, it isn't perfect but don't let people tell you it's bad until you go see it. decide for yourself.

Excellent... best so far.
1 December 2005
Warning: Spoilers
People say that the fourth movie is bad because so much was left out- but wouldn't you still be complaining if everything had been left in and it was six hours long? If you want to read the subplots, read the book. Some things in books can't come across in movies that well. Thoughts, emotion-only scenes, for instance... And subplots are great, but honestly books are always better than movies.

Now that I've gotten that across! This movie is AMAZING. The effects, the acting... And of course, Dan, Rupert and Emma are great again. Emma's part was a bit over-dramatic this time, but that's just a minor flaw. I thought it was interesting that this is the darkest movie so far, and yet it's the funniest. The end was fantastic and dramatic and perfect.

Getting into that.... (*SPOILER* for those who haven't read the book before seeing it in theatres, although wtf is with that, read the book) I thought Voldemort was perfect, perfect, perfect. I had been SO worried they would mess him up, do it wrong, do something stupid... but he was EXACTLY how I've always imagined him. Amazingly, it was joy that leapt into my heart when I saw him form... not fear. well, not until after I saw the movie a second time and was less giddy about seeing it.

END SPOILER anyway I think everybody should see it because it's freaking awesome, PS I love Katie Leung's accent, its pretty.

The Island (2005)

A good movie that doesn't get enough credit
14 August 2005
Warning: Spoilers
I'm disappointed with people for disliking this movie for such reasons as product placement and the idea that this is a stolen plot. I actually was planning on writing a book with an almost identical plot, and I'm a 14 year old in Nashville. I doubt they stole the plot from -me-, and that just proves its not so hard to come up with the idea. And as for product placement, who freaking cares, you know? It was a bit overdone, yes, but that doesn't make the movie bad. Anyway, it's not like you don't see a bunch of advertisements in real life, so what's the difference...

I thought that The Island was a well put together movie. I liked the drama and I loved the scene where the guy woke up during his surgery thing and tried to run away. It made me sad :\ I also loved the scene where the woman gives birth and then gets executed, basically.

The love scene was kind of stupid, but then again, I just dislike those in general because they're in like every movie ever made.

So anyway, the movie was good. It was almost perfect. I highly, highly recommend it. Watch it.

Awesome movie!!!!

I have just gotten back from seeing this movie and I must say I was pleasently surprised. Most of Black's movies are somewhat corny with so many jokes that it isn't even funny anymore. Finally they made a movie with not so many jokes but just enough to make it funny and it wasn't cheesy in the "dramatic" parts. I recommend this movie. It is not a waste of money.

Some might think a 4.7 is low. For this movie, it's lucky it got a ONE.

I have to say that this movie was lame, lame, lame. I watched the whole movie intently, and by the time it was over, I didn't know anything had even happened. Good acting? Really? Where? I didn't see any. Why do they keep putting JLo in movies?

I like life- and I like this movie!

In my family, every Christmas we have the tradition of digging out the old tape, popping some popcorn, and watching this wonderful movie. This movie has made me look forward to Christmas just so I can watch it!

This movie is definatley my favorite of all time- tying with Pirates of the Caribbean, which is a good thing considering POTC is the best movie ever made.

Every time I finally stopped crying, something happened to make me cry again
11 October 2003
I just saw this movie on court tv, and I flicked in on it about twenty minutes into the movie. Every two minutes it seemed I was crying and i think I will be depressed for the rest of my life. But it was a good movie. It was really really good... and sooooo sad.

Three's Company (1976–1984)
Hilarious, the best old TV show around
7 August 2003
ON Nick @ Nite I watch the reruns, and I looooooove this show! It is the most hilarious show on the earth. It is kinda dirty, but kinda not. Suzanne Sumers was good at the first, but she kept getting dumber until it wasn't even funny. I liked Mr. and Mrs. Roper, they were hilarious, but never happy, and that's why I think my favorite time of the TV show was when it was Terry, Jack, Janet, Larry, and Mr. Furley. Larry was funny. Anyways, I love this show no matter who's in it.

Ugh. It is stupid. My entire family and friends think that it is stupid. If you haven't seen it, don't, because you will probably think it is stupid.

Acting is okay, but I despise Haley Joel Osment. Despise him, despise him. I didn't despise him until I saw this movie. Don't waste your time watching this idiotic movie. It's creepy, the Flesh Fair gave me nightmares for about a year afterwards. Master of Disguise is better than this. Does that say anything?

The best movie in the history of the universe
29 July 2003
Warning: Spoilers
***CONTAINS SPOILERS*** This movie... well, it's so good I can't even begin to explain it. I may begin with saying that Johnny and Orli look awesome in it. The scene where Sparrow first appears is just wonderful, on his sinking boat.

Johnny's acting is perfection in this movie. So far I have seen it 5 times, soon to be six, and it is wonderful. Keira Knightley is excellent, and Geoffrey Rush is great as Barbossa.

In my opinion, Pirates of the Caribbean is flawless. I usually hate violent movies, but for some reason I love it in this movie. Probably because when they stab the people and stuff, there's not much blood and you rarely see the bodies, especially at the end. The casting for this movie is perfect, and nobody else could ever play the characters. Jack Sparrow is hilarious, and he makes the movie a comedy. Without him, the movie would be a lot less wonderful, but still good. I think the best thing about this movie is that there are few curse words, therefore making it okay for younger people. Although it is violent, like I said before there is little blood and few bodies shown.

Another good thing about this movie is, well, I sometimes feel akward when dramatic moments occur, and in this movie, even the most dramatic moments can remain pleasurable. This movie is brilliant, and I highly recommend it to people of *all* ages. I give it a million thumbs up! A 100 out of 10!
